Here goes nothing again.
Two armies, not one (same as last time, when I finished one single model), 15mm scale.
I also have to build a board for these, and for once there's a justification; but I'll give this later thread (suspense!). I'll also need to get them done by October.
What's worse is I only have 3 items so far, and they're all rocks! And I only found two..... they're 3D prints which will be very familiar to at least one of you :D The board will probably not have to be large - 2' x 2' or 4' x 4' at most, and the scenery will need to be movable, these rocky bits being part of said movables. ;
The troops are on the way - bit of an unbalanced pair of forces with horrible army selection, and that too is justified by the - ah - needs of this project; I probably will be getting more, however.
As they're still in the mail, I can just show rocks for now:

Box of stuff - loads of Persians and a few Greeks too, freshly arrived.

That's quite a haul - I admire your ambition to get two armies ready - thumbs up!

Not to mention the Kharadrons and a promised OGAM Norse warband.... although I can pretend the latter are Kharadron re-enactors.

Nothing much to see, just a single test stand of Persian Immortals (sans shields so far), but at least I decided to go for Warmaster size bases, even though these are 15 mm rather than 10mm.

I used PVA glue as it works better with the hardboard bases.
Still trying to decide on the basing - sand and flock after painting; sand or grit before painted (i.e. it will be painted over); or just flock. I should decide on the board which goes with these of course...

Some friends and a commander added.

Er - the ceramic tortoise is unrelated to this project... :D

Let's hope that it doesn't symbolize the pace of the project :)
Fortunately, is looking to the right, means the future according to the arrow of time ;)
My first 15mm armies I painted were Minifigs Greeks and Persians, I'll follow your project with interest! Cheers!

Thanks - that's a lot of interpretation!
I guess the project has its official mascot, then: the newly-named Arrow the Tortoise.
I have a deadline (probably) - 23rd September. All will be explained. :D

Good luck to you, the sculpts are wonderful!
Eager to see them painted!

They are rather nice - I still have to attach the shields incidentally.

Are you going to make embroidery on the Immortals' tunics?
I nearly took my eyes out to make paint them flowers and dots and things o_o but 20 years before...

The question I was dreading most. :D
First I am going to base all the Persians - and the Greeks.
Then I am going to undercoat them.
Then basecoat.
And then - ah - :-X
In other words, I'm procrastinating over taking that decision!

A Greek proverb:
He who gets bored to bake, is sifting flour for five days ;)
Patience, endurance and strong belief to your project!
May the motive force be with you!

That's a good one! 8)
I'll be quoting that at work.
Incidentally, just noticed that the tortoise has a floral pattern too...

Nil disperandum!
I suggest start with a small amount, maybe a single unit and finish them before tackling the remaining horde. They would inspire you to persevere. ;)
