Title: African hunter-gatherers
Post by: Engel on March 11, 2018, 07:38:50 PM
I just got the Paleo Diet, eat or be eaten rules from Ganesha Games and its a nice read of what looks like a fun game.

But I wanted to do something different, instead of the more common European stone age instead choose to set my pre historical adventure in the lands of Africa...

To start this up I converted some plastic Perry Miniatures Sudanese tribesmen and gave them bows from Conquest Games plastic Medieval archers.

Nice work on the conversions! You are right, most of us game either Europe or the Americas.

In light of the recent DNA work conducted on Cheddar Man though, you could use those guys as Europeans too if you felt the inclination.

At the Cheddar man business. o_o

It's about as inconclusive as it gets. (https://www.newscientist.com/article/2161867-ancient-dark-skinned-briton-cheddar-man-find-may-not-be-true/?utm_campaign=RSS%7CNSNS)

Thanks for the positive comments. Delighted your group enjoyed the game and really impressed by the table!

Time to add a bit more danger with some lions and/or elephants.  :P

If you can find some half submerged and regular hippos that would be a real danger if anyone got to close to a water feature.

Another game of Palaeo Diet.
This time I pitted the Kushite tribe against the oryxes in the Hunger Game scenario.

Another great game.
