For years I have been trying to avoid building a Post-Roman British Army. Since I got the Osprey Arthur and the Anglo-Saxon Wars book with that wonderful painting by Angus McBride on the cover I have had the urge (ir has been a bit, that was 1984). I have finally succumbed. My first project id to build a command stand based on the cover art from the book.

Excellent. That cover has been a source of inspiration for me for years as well. Never thought of capturing it in miniature though. DOH

Impressive kitbashing – lots of different bits went into that base! Can't wait to see it finished.
