Whilst packing away some kit after our Megiddo game at York in February,  this picture just emerged....

Is he lost, a deserter....or on a special secret mission?

I think he's just looking for a quiet spot to do his business.

He puts me in mind of the Bren Gunner at Pegasus Bridge, whose first act in the liberation of France - straight out of the glider, was to tear off on his own to find somewhere to pee, as he was absolutely busting (one simply cannot pee in front of the Germans, it isn't done).

That is a really cool, atmospheric photo, by the way.

Surely, he's one of the Sergeants helping Captain Savige and his small detachment from Dunsterforce, defend Assyrian refugees against the marauding Turkish cavalry and Kurdish horse. Did I guess it, did I win; do I get a cookie ;)!

By the way, I always liked those cliffs. I see them come into play in all your games. They are simple, effective and very good looking.

I quite agree with Hammers. They constitute a signature of the League games.

Maybe he’s the lone John Lewis gunner and the reason he’s lonely is cos he’s sick of people taking the piss out of his naff Christmas ads?
