Looks great

Thanks Smokeyrone !

That really is excellent - a really fun-looking model that I could easily imagine in my collection. What's the plan for his left arm?
Will you end up putting him into production do you think?
-
Thanks axiom.
At the moment the other arm is in a barrel shape , some type of gun, but i may change that If it don't look right.
Still looking for ideas for his other arm ;)
I didn't have any plans for him as such, i thought about sculpting a set of them , all slightly different but in the same style / theme .
I guess there's lots of options, get the set cast up, do a kick starter or sell them on.

Looks good. Personally I wouldn't like to see his other arm holding a weapon, I think he would look good holding a communicator or a sensor or a sample collecting bag, something peaceful!

vodkafan
Thanks for the input vodkafan !
You think he looks peaceful o_o ?!
I thought he looked a little menacing ...
-
You think he looks peaceful o_o ?!
As much as a certain "fat flying man"... :D
-
Michi
OK Michi !! you got me! who or what is the "certain "fat flying man"... o_o
-
Looking good. I'm with Vodkafan on the whole peaceful thing, I see him as some sort of civilian functionary type chap. Also, is the right arm bionic? It looks like there's all sorts of bolts and pivots going on at the shoulder, but the hand looks organic.
-
Genghis.... thank you...
The right arm is bionic / organic ...
I sculpted it with that in mind and the whole miniature in general, a mix of organic and bionic / mechanical ...
civilian functionary type chap sounds Very interesting...

Baron Harkonnen from Dune... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vladimir_Harkonnen
In Dune, Herbert writes that the Baron possesses a "basso voice" and is so "grossly and immensely fat" that he requires anti-gravity devices known as suspensors to support his weight.

Michi
Oh OK !! he sounds like a brilliant character ! :D
Thank you!

I thought you were talking about Arch Baron Drumpf from Hasslefree - which is only available"Spaceclad" for the moment (I have a dressed one).

For me, he seems to be channelling a certain grimdark aesthetic, where people get very specialised functional augmentations/bionics with no regard to how they look or any wider utility. In particular, that big bolt through the right shoulder makes it look like the arm would have very limited mobility (I can see it being able to rotate about the bolt in one plane, but not 'lift') - it gives him strength for a particular role/action, but is less generally useful than his original arm. The organic hand at the end of the bionic arm is just plain creepy - I like it.
There're lots of bionic soldiers/toughs available, but a creepy civilian functionary that's not a full-blown servitor - that's definitely a gap in the market. ;)

Genghis
That is one excellent summary of the sculpt !
Great food for thought to say the least! :)
Thank you very much! ;)

Happy to help, I look forward to seeing him finished off.

Cheers ! :)
