Title: native africans with denison smock?
Post by: summsi on April 05, 2018, 02:45:33 PM
hi,

did african troops (e.g. KAR) get Denison smocks? I wanted to convert Warlords plastic paras to some native troops.

Thanks

Do you mean for the Mau Mau conflict? No, not that I’m aware of, Denison smocks tended to be confined to the paras and marines. It’s just possible some might have received windproofs, a number of photos exist of British regiments using them in the highlands but it’s unlikely. The windproof is a completely different piece of kit to the Denison anyway.
