Title: French Revolutionary/early Napoleonic French sailors in 28mm
Post by: Malamute on April 15, 2018, 05:57:58 PM

So I picked a set of the Trent Miniatures French sailors at Salute yesterday. Goaded into buying then by Dr  they will be used as French smugglers in my ongoing (18th smugglers project.Yes it's still ongoing and have some new painted stuff to show Later this week).

As there are only four in the set I need another four or so make up a crew.
I am aware of the very nice Brigade games packs and the Steve Barber ones.

Can anyone recommend any other ranges in 28mm?

Can't be any worse than the Outpost Miniatures stuff. lol

And they are available individually which is a bonus as I only need a few.

Nick, maybe  you could look at Lance's Galloping Major seamen/sailor minis, perhaps some of them would work for you ?

Cheers

Thanks Keith,

trying to find some that look foreign ;) lol

The French Napoleonic ones will probably fit the bill. Might have to do a small Brigade Games order for the pack I want and couple of extras. ;D

Some of the old Foundry ranges would work. The Royal Navy sailors are fairly non-descript plus there are some figures in their French Revoltion range that would work, civilian attire being prevalent. I have no idea how well they would fit with Trent Miniatures.

The Brigade ones are almost certainly the best of the lot.
