Apparently I hid one of my four spore mines... I know it's behind the centre Warrior, but even I can't spot it on the picture lol
@Uncle Mike: Nice fog effect, the picture somehow has an "army of darkness" feeling for me (which is a good thing).

The showcasing of both sets of minis is quite awesome.
Going to have to think about this match up for awhile.

Yes, agree with Ray. Both have entered great photos with cool backdrops and scenery. It really makes the scenes come alive. I also like the huge difference in color between them. The Army of Darkness looks fantastic. It shows how good the new skeleton sculpts are and Mike's paintjob takes them even further. Awesome job! I love the weathered look and the fog is spot on. Braxandur's bugs are also very cool and they are presented much better than his second round's entry IMO. The bugs are easier to see and you can appreciate their paintjobs much more this way.
This will take a flip of the coin I think...!

Both great entries but the mist was a winner for me (sorry Brax ;)). Even the first entry being a bit out of focus actually helps the effect. The Army Of Darkness feel is indeed there and partly thanks to these lovely new skeletons. The bugs are really cool and of course no stranger to me. The terrain surrounding them is very effective but the blue cloth is a bit too blue for my taste. In the end both are very nice entries! 8)

What did you expect on an alien infested world ;D
Apologies are not neccesary though, Uncle Mikes entry is very nice.

This is what I like to call "the Cotton Effect"...I have several entries...all featuring cotton. The minis are painted average and so is the scenery...it's the cotton that makes it a good picture. imho, anywayz.

Wow...this one is tough. I really like the way the picture was taken in the first entry. The cotton baton mist effect is great and so are the figures. The bugs in the second photo look absolutely great...nice shading, diorama feel, etc.

Yes, the effect and atmosphere really seals the scene.
-
I love the bugs- the insets of the insects show the detail of painting which makes each of them look like individual characters..
-
I love the skeletons; nice paint job, fantastically atmospheric.
It's amazing what you can do with cotton wool!
