I had these made as test models for the Aranae “Ferox” mutant regiments in my Earthdoom range. Had them made first as multipart 28mm figurines, then had them posed out as 15mm figurines as single piece castings.
They are a devious Aranae (coughcoughArachnidcoughcough) interbreeding between purestrain Aranae spideroids and humans. A complete 15mm range was made including Atrox cyborg monsters and Ferox heavy weapons teams and even vehicles, but the painter who received them (over a year ago) has apparently decided to keep the models, not paint them, and not respond to my messages so I’m going to have to start from scratch with them and I’ve alreasy overburdened the painters I usually work with so the 15mm side is stalled. :-/
BUT...
28mm production sets could easily be made of the five test poses! They were painted up by David Woods some time ago along with one of the Atrox mutants. The Atrox are going to be cross marketed in a large scale kaiju range I’ve been preparing for a few years now but they are also perfect as Atrox in 28mm scale.
So I’m just wondering if people would respond to these as 28mm sets. The sets would also come with five helmeted heads — those weren’t painted but were printed and cast. All this stuff has been mastercast and can go right into a production mould.

I would definitely be interested in them for different space skirmish games. I think they look awesome.
-
Those are disturbingly nice
-
Yes, I'd be interesred in a set.
-
Yup, those look really good and different enough too. Always nice to have some alternative alien races to play about with in random sci fi games.
So these wouldn't be multi-part as planned, just separate heads? Or?
-
The 28mm are multipart and would look just as shown in the image. There’s some swappability of parts although I’m not GW so I’m not as good at it as they are!
There would be 13 heads in each set, eight helmetless and five helmets. The eight helmetless are a mixture of mandibles open and closed, and most have some form of visual enhancement devices installed on their front pair of eyes.
Thanks guys I’m glad to read there might be a bit of interest.

I like them a lot!!! I am looking for opponents for my Haslefree figures, and these are perfect!!!
-
They look good. However, you do have a habit of showing/buying sculpts that never get released.
-
So does that mean I shouldn’t release them? Because I’ve not released everything I’ve previewed? Not sure I follow. 🤔
-
They are your models, you can do what you like with them. However, as a business, if you don't sell people the things they want which you have then why are you in business?
-
Not sure why this is a subject in this thread?
In any event, I don’t take money from customers for things I preview which aren’t released, so I’m still trying to understand the grievance being aired.
-
It's a subject because you do this kind of thing, preview or buy ranges then do nothing with them.
People want to buy your miniatures, and you have some great stuff. So why don't you just release them, especially ranges you've bought in.
-
Might be something that upsets you, and I’m sorry if it does. but again what does it have to do with potential interest in these models in 28mm?
-
It doesn't upset me, it does confuse me slightly though. And please remember you're talking to a potential customer.
What it has to do with this is that why should people show any interest if they're never released?
-
Ok I’ll take that as a no. Thanks for your feedback. And I’m very sorry that I confuse you. I have that way with people! 😊

As far as I can tell, once upon a time you previewed something that ended up not getting released, and he wanted it, and now he's letting you know that he was disappointed it didn't get released in the most unproductive, passive-aggressive manner he can.
Lovely figures, btw. If they get released I might pick up a set to use as Alien Mercenaries in 7TV, but I already have a bunch of different styles of Alien Mercenary unpainted, so they'd be a very low priority for me.

And there's me thinking that I was being calm and clear. There's me told. Lol.
And it's his lovely Kappa that I'm after, figures that already exist and are ready to go. I'm not quite as easily upset as you seem to think friend.
-
That was an honest answer on your interest, gailbraithe, thanks.
-
I'd grab a set or two.
-
If you release these in 28mm I would take some, arachnid heads look very nice and ALIEN, most importantly for me.
I plan to place a biggish order eventually but I need to reduce my lead mountain before I can justify it - that’s my motivation anyway :)
-
I'd buy them in 15mm
-
Really nice looking miniatures. If they were released in 28mm, I am sure they would get interest.
-
Having painted them I can attest to the quality of sculpt and casting....and the Atrox are impressively huge beasts!!
-
Thanks David coming from you that means a lot! And to everyone else. I’ll ask the caster to make the mould.
