Title: Uniformed Zanzibari Infantry Uniform Colors
Post by: Belgian on July 28, 2018, 08:20:20 AM
Looking for some pictures of uniformed Zanzibari infantry uniforms as I have bought some Copplestone miniatures but don't have a clue on how to paint them. Any pointers and pictures? Thanks

Pretty simple colour scheme. White jacket, white trousers. Red fez or a shorter pillbox cap that could be red or white (sometimes with yellow decorative embroidery). Brown leather seems the most likely for the belt and pouch (in the 1890s they were issued British brown leather pouches), though black is a possibility.

Thank you very much, thought of those colors but wanted to make sure. Much appreciated Plynkes!
