Here is an AAR and photos from the game that we put on at Joy of Six:

We had a blast, literally in some cases:

My write-up isn't complete but you will see that there are quotes from several German regimental histories. There are more to come when I get back from this trip.
Another taster, this time a French Corps commander relaxing in his purloined wicker chair:

No doubt the close proximity of the French heavy artillery battery upset the wine glass from time to time. C'est la guerre...

More material from German regimental histories has been added to the AAR, starting here:

Very cool, and impressive.
I like the way you have set the regimental histories against the in game shots.

Thank you, fred.
Two more pages have been added. Here (http://www.greatwarspearhead.com/battle-reports/battle-of-matz-2/german-sketch-map.html) is the sketch map from the history of IR143. It shows the dispositions of the German infantry companies from the regiment, as well as the lines of attack for the French tanks:

Here (http://www.greatwarspearhead.com/battle-reports/battle-of-matz-2/french-129th-division-map.html) is the attack plan for French 129th Infantry Division. It illustrates the jump-off points for the various battalions and the objectives, which included Méry and the line of German defenders between Méry and Courcelles:

Excellent, what a great looking table!

Thank you, Abwehrschlacht.
Next up will be some details from the French tank unit diaries.

Here is some information about the French tank units that supported the French 129th Infantry Division. This sector corresponded to the German regimental histories:

Here is a photo of two Heroics and Ros 1/300 Breguet 14s, the two seater reconnaissance / ground attack bomber that will feature in the next outing of French tanks:

Great looking planes!

Thanks, Driscoles.
Nieuport 17s and 28s on the painting table now. Will hopefully get these finished before the weekend is out. The I-94 decals are really good for things like dice, playing card symbols, and other decals for the WW1 planes.

Very cool little planes!

Thank you, fred.
Here is a brace of Nieuport 17s:

They are both Heroics and Ros 1/300 scale. The model on the right has an 8 ball decal on the fuselage (I-94); the model on the left has a die on each side.
