Started a cutting edge for 1949 Soviet force. This is part of a new Imagination force.
T—54 and BTR-40 by GHQ. Terrain Maker hexes by GHQ.
-
I guess no love for small things lol
-
Actually I think they look bloody good. Makes me nostalgic for my 1980s GHQ Soviet MRR. Sold off long, long ago. If only some of the 15mm folk could sculpt vehicles as cleanly and well detailed as their 6mm bretheren.

You might want to give people time to wake up and get out of bed as your post was logged at 01.30am GMT and then 05.32am. GMT. I would suggest most of Europe was still asleep.... ;)

Lovely work - just 22mm too small ;-)

I agree. Mine are incorporated in the radiation shielding in the loft. I will find them and the rules some day.

yeah ! Superb group :-*

Thanks everyone - I do sometimes forget most people are 8 hours away lol
More to come. Stay tuned!

Love these!

Love these!
Thanks! For anyone who isn’t familiar, the average tank will fit at the edge of your thumb - about an inch without full barrel. They’re SMALL.

Terrain :D

Geo-Hex? How much nostalgia can you pack into a thread?

It’s actually Terrain Maker by GHQ; they come as raw foam and I made them into the shapes etc.
-
Nice terrain as well.

Update!
New equipment off the assembly line.
Terrain is also getting buildings from the free printable ones.

Hey thanks! Next batch is coming up at the end of the month.

Thanks Helen! They were so much fun to paint. Although these are WW2, I wish that GHQ would make a full line of WW1 aircraft - I would buy them all.
-
Looking good - liking the green and red tones you've painted.
-
Thanks!
I should have the next batch on the table any day now. :D

More stuff completed!
A riverine patrol vessel, up-gunned with a T-54 turret
(https://storage.googleapis.com/files-us.myalbum.io/photo/540/fR/4d/fR4d0JSHZeNU.jpg)
Marine raiding force. These are the Flossacke boats, converted to have Soviet tank riders crewing them.

T-54/28 Bridgelayer. I cut the top of a T-28 off, adding it to the hull of a T-54. Simple!
Troop of Su-100 heavy tank destroyers. No converting.
Logistics trucks. Used the rear bodies from WW2 pack, and added them to spare Zil trucks. Minor conversions. Now I have a cook truck and a command/comms truck.

Neat. What rules set are you thinking of using (sorry if I missed it).
-
Thanks!
I’m going to use the GHQ WW2 rules, with some modifications for the later stuff. They haven’t revised the Modern rules yet, they’re showing their age.
-
Some new forces!
M46 howitzers. One stand in action, one bugging out. Two gun battery. I used WW2 crew which are beautiful little sculpts; there’s one loading a shell, one commanding, one sighting, and various other action type poses. Eight crew per gun.

Thanks Helen!
I know not many people dig the small stuff, but I love being able to model in this scale.
-
Nicely done, but you'll find historically they used 9 man crews, there's some photo floating around online that has the ninth man hidden in each crew due to the angle of the photo (:D).

Dang! I did some admittedly shoddy and fast research.
Could easily spray up and glue on a ninth per gun I suppose!
Thanks!!!
-
You're welcome!!! ;)

4 troop transport Mi-4 and a med evac help as well.

-
Using Choctaws as Mi-4 I know isn’t perfect but no one makes a 1:285 scale Mi-4...
-
This is a great "little" project!
Thank you for sharing.
-
Some of your best work!!! :-* :-* :-*
-
Thanks guys! I’m painting up some more tanks next!

Finished my T-54 company

Just when I thought I was finished, another company of T54s with supporting SU100 showed up - I’d forgotten that I’d ordered them lol
-
Nicely done - and I'm liking those bases.
