I have most of the 1/600th Thoroughbred ironclads and they are superb. Peter Pig also has a range which is much cheaper (mostly resin) but not always the same level of detail.
I don't have any of the OG ironclads but I did buy several of their 1/300th Spanish Armada ships. Not very impressed I must say. Pretty basic and hundreds of bubble holes to fill.
Of course there's always 1/350th scale if you don't mind building kits. Quite a few ( later-) ironclads available and many of them are superbly detailed. Perhaps up to the point that they aren't suitable any more for wargaming. Example https://www.bnamodelworld.com/bmz_cache/e/ec4ad974629896fde08614ea4e7eeb4f.image.950x605.jpg

If you are not dead set on historical...Spartan once made ships they called 1:1200 but the hatches look 1:600. (Not remembering who took over their models...many of the little ships look like generic ironclads.)
But it sounds like you’d prefer historic not VSF, though. [?]

Yes, historic better than vsf ;)
