Title: An unusual source for clear bases
Post by: NickNascati on September 23, 2018, 01:15:14 AM
All,
Discovered an unusual source for clear bases. I was killing time in my local CVS, while my wife shopped for birthday cards. I noticed packs of Scotch Restickable Dots. These are clear, 22.2 mm circles meant to be used to stick things to walls. They are $2.49 per pack of 18 at CVS. I decided to grab a pack to see how they work. Well, they are perfect! I stuck two together, to make the base stiffer. That works out to .27 cents each!

You can also get really good clear bases from Dave and Mila at Pulp Alley. They are top notch and cost about 16 cents each.

3M and a handful of other companies make smaller clear disk that make for great customizable markers, Ammo, First Aid, Water, and so forth as objective markers or points of interest.

Alcide, Of course, but they are very thin, I'd rather have something I can grab onto.
