Title: 300 lbs Elven Princess?
Post by: Dr. The Viking on May 26, 2009, 08:03:16 AM
Hi there,

We're working on a scenario where a mob of geeks (LARPs, reenactors, moviebuffs and so on) have been mind manipulated through subconscious messages in the latest Horrible Beings From Outer Space and are now slaves to an evil race of aliens (day of the tentacle style).

They plan to take over the kingdom of Denmark, starting by influencing the cultural capital Røvede in Jutland.

Police forces take on the horrible mob of nerds in the streets, where they fight to death with several Aragorn, Legolasses, Trekkies and 300 lbs Elven princesses all armed by the aliens.

My question to you oh holy oracles of the internet is this: Are there any good suitable fat women miniatures out there?

Obviously some of you will find this rather idiotic... I do hope someone has help though!  ;D

Sounds like a great project - no idea where to start though - some sort of Valkyries?

The Foundry Valkerie/Opera singer was the first that came to my mind.

While not quite 300 pounders, the various Hasselfree "Libby" models are quite... zaftig. ;)

Hmm these models don't look fat enough.

I thought about using the big em4 miniatures Thug women... painting her caucasian and adding fake pointy ears and perhaps a wand.

Some of the other em4 overweightish minis would be fun to convert too...

I don't mean to offend anyone, just make a bit of fun about LARPers. Like the skinny kid playing the grand warlord and so on...

I take it you mean a woman with 'wonderful personality', as the aphorism goes...  :)

There has been a blister called 'The Gamers' by Thunderbolt Mountain many years ago:

Exactly what You need.

Sorry, no Pics around on the internet, but here is one of them, painted by tpope, picture from CMon:

The other gamers include a rather well-fed couple dressed in matching sports suits!!!
All in all there were six figures.

I got mine from ebay for $ 10,- +p&p

The female figures from Old Glory's Pirates collection are mostly quite well fed.

I'd be fairly alarmed to meet any of these ladies in a dark alley (and even more so in a well-lit one):

Found this on Ground zero games. I've heard that their minis are notably smaller than other companies 25-8's.

Can anyone confirm?!

I have some GZG stuff and it is tiny compared to normal 28 mm. I would think thay would be tiny compared to normal 25 mm as well. Nice figures but don't mix with anything else I have.

Chairface...when you painted her..how long did the nightmares last?

The best part of that mini is the lolly stuck to her bum. It made me chuckle as I painted mine with a jaunty red and white swirl... (plus the fact that mine is stood up, so it looks like the chair is... stuck, shall we say - there should be a pic posted of her in my zombie thread in the future wars board)

I'm gonna have to convert one of these now, you realize.

Pointy ears, chainmail bikini, the whole works.

GZG has some figs named 'Gamers' - and though they are 25 mm they are quite fitting for young teenagers and the likes. I have the wargamer and the role-player (long coat, broad-brimmed hat, and a rule-book), and some small kids I intend to use with my 'larger-than-life' 28-30 mm heroic scale heroes.... I do not mind that ordinary peolple look a bit scrawny compared to the combattants  ;)

The wargamer looks just like Harry Potter, btw...

Gripping Beast do some Viking Women, one of whom is impressively large and has a face like a slapped arse.
The designer based her on his mother in law.
Some of the other women look pretty rough too.

Ok, so I got a Hungry Bertha last night in the discount bin just so I could make this - chainmail bikini and all.

I couldn't get the chair out of her bum.

Usually with these PPMs, you can separate the parts fairly easily.

The legs of the stool broke off and the seat was stuck in/to her bum.

I was so glad I didn't have to eat again that day.

Title: Re: 300 lbs Elven Princess?
Post by: Froggy the Great on June 11, 2009, 07:00:49 PM
Yes, but it's a separate piece of the model.  I'm going to have to sculpt the droopy bum-fat over the seat of the chair if I want her to stand free.

So she'll have an even bigger bum then, eh? Be sure to show pictures of the finished result.

There's an horrific fascination to this. Must be the same sort of thing that draws people to car crashes. We're appalled but can't look away.

Show us the results!
I will indeed.

I have the bum resculpted and the ears pointed.  I need to fill in the lollypop-hole in her kidney and then sculpt on the chainmail bikini.

The old Essex fantasy amazons were pretty big & chunky. I still have a few. Although not quite in the 300 lb range. I suppose you could fatten one up a bit.
