The continuing adventures of Huw Puw, roving reporter for the Fish Guardian...
This was part of a mega-game, being one of three linked campaign games played on the same day at the same venue in Herefordshire in October 2014: http://www.jemimafawr.co.uk/2018/10/03/a-very-british-civil-war-in-pembrokeshire-1938-the-battle-of-titley-junction/

Nicely done madam!!
By the way, is Kenny Twat still the mayor of Fishguard?

No, he retired years ago. As was covered by Barry Welsh at the time, he lost the election to Geraint Pillock, who is still the incumbent, as far as I know.
[In the real world, at the time Barry Welsh was showing on TV, a friend actually was the mayor of Fishguard - he proudly wore a badge with 'His Worship, Mr K Twat' on it, awarded John Sparkes the freedom of the town, lifted the extant ban on the showing of 'Life of Brian' in the town and had a special showing of Life of Brian to boot (the ban had been imposed by a previous mayor, whose daughter played Brian's girlfriend and had a nude scene). lol]
[Oh and I've also met 'Geraint Pillock'...]

Great stuff. 👍

A great looking battle and a most entertaining report. The Daughters of Rebecca are great conversions and look fantastic.

Cheers chaps! :)

What rules do you prefer for your rather fantastic games? Does size matter?
-
We've been using 'Went The Day Well', mainly because that's what the boys use at the Hereford games and the VBCW Society show games. They're not a brilliant set of rules, but they're reasonably good fun. We've also used Force on Force which was interesting, but range means nothing in those rules and I like something that encourages a bit more manoeuvre.
The quest for the ideal set of rules continues...
It's not the size that matters, it's what you do with it. At least that's what Mrs Fawr says...

I will not take the obvious rules distraction and will instead advise that most times size matters...just ask Sir Gilbert Hill’s secretary Miss Fragrance Sweetmeat who has ‘alledgedly’ visited the recently captured Commander of The Kings Own Colonials Stokkie Joubert (Captured by the Anglicans during the recent crossing of the Wye) on several occasions for debriefings

What a great looking game. Love those tinny armored vehicles.

Indeed - Miss Sweetmeat enjoys a good laugh as much as anyone. She compares the corpulent Joubert to a huge, clumsy, old- fashioned wardrobe with a tiny key in the lock.

Stokkies often handled his ‘Long Tom’ during the Second Boer War with deft skill

He’d need to - no-one else could find it never mind handle it😀😀😀

Thanks for the heads up on the rules Mrs Fawr.
They appear to be sold out, so I’ll keep on the hunt. I have 7TV which I’m keen to try with l my residents of The Village - which could easily become an inter war civil war. Rebellion and dissent in The Village? That would be telling.
