The French wargamers forum “Jeu d’Histoire”, which was active since 15 years, has been hacked. Apparently all threads and backups (except members profiles) have been destroyed.

Bastards! >:( There is a special place in Hell for people that destroys other's people work.

Cripes that's a lot of work just gone.
Of course Photobucket has already destroyed thousands of threads across all wargaming forums dating back ten years or more as well... :-[
I doubt that's much of a consolation though. :?
Remember kids - proper backup procedures are a minimum of three backups, with each on physically different drives, ant at least one being completely physically separate and in a different real-world location. A lesson too many learn the hard way.

I think what happened is much more serious than just losing images. It is also a clear proof of idiocy of people who literally destroys 15 years of other people effort just to show... how stupid they are (never liked hackers in my life! I think they are a waste of flesh...)

That's sad and utterly senseless :'(

devastating, the forum had lots of research for french units in both world wars
cheers
