So last year around this time I was knee-deep in a creating and writing what would eventually become Star Breach: The (FREE) Multiverse Sci-Fi Skirmish Game (starbreach.com (http://starbreach.com)). I actually only had a few sci-fi models at the time, and I was super lax on painting anything. Once the game launched and really took off among players all over the world, I fell in love with my own creation and began a journey to amass and paint all sorts of sci-if models (28-32mm) to cover the TWENTY unique factions of the game. The freedom of getting to paint all these different minis for a common, and well established, ruleset has got me painting and commissioning like crazy these days, so I needed a thread to start dumping my finished warbands and models as I go. Enjoy the ride! (And give Star Breach a try! ;) )

Next finished warband for Star Breach (starbreach.com) is my Mantic Rebs collection. This was a collaboration between myself and my commission painter and the results are a perfectly eclectic and super fun group of models. In the Star Breach Multiverse, I will use this crew for Nomadic Raiders, Intergalactic Marshals, The Resistance, Contiuum Syndicate, and more! Enjoy!

What lies before me! Haha. Just finished launching Star Breach v2.0, and now it’s back to the painting desk. I would love to have these all done by May-ish when I receive my Zombicide Invader Pledge (which is gonna be like...200+ models in itself!) We’ll see what I can do! Haha. Thanks for following!

Fresh from the horde of the walking unpainted, I’ve brought to life in living color two very fun warbands:
First up is the *DUNDUN DUN DUNDUN* ...er, first is... *DUNDUN DUN DUNDUN* FIRST UP IS THE TERMINATORS! These models are from Warlord Game’s Terminator game which is apparently not that great. But their lose is my gain as I got these bad boys for like $.30 a model. They come silver, so a quick wash and highlights and basing and BOOM. Hasta La Vista, Baby. These guys will be used as an Ancient Machine warband in Star Breach.
Second is a fun kitbash I did for kitbashember (which is quite possibly the worst hashtag ever forced). Three models built from all sorts of GW and Mantic bits to create ninja-esq assasin droids. Went for a Dr. Doom color scheme and I’m liking the results. These three will by my Hunters in Star Breach.

This past week I was on a roll and not only knocked out some GW Cultists (to be used as a variety of cultists for Star Breach), but also painted up all my recent terrain purchases/prints! So yeah, I’m pretty jazzed about that. The two sets are obviously GW, but the green machines were free downloads on Thingiverse from “Terrain4print”. Great pieces that will work perfectly with the GW parts.

In the past few days I managed to knock out a few “Big Gun” auxiliary units. First up are GW’s infamous Tyranid Warriors, which I resurrected from a bargain buy disaster paint job. I’ll use them for The Hive and Hive Cult warbands in Star Breach. Second are a pair of GW Killer Kans, which are diabolically trashy mecha, perfect for mech support in a couple of the not-so-polished warbands of Star Breach, such as U’Rak Warlords or Nomadic Raiders.

And I just finished up this interesting little project. I took models from both GW and Warlord and unified them into one warband by doing a “pitch black” paint theme that I’ve never tried before. Super happy with the results! This crew would be perfect for many different Star Breach warbands, but they’re definitely giving off a strong Continuum Sydicate vibe. Let me know whatcha think!

And here’s my final paintwork for 2018: a few drones flying into action. These models come from Warlord (BtGoA from two different factions) and they should work swimmingly in a number of different Star Breach warbands. Hope to do a fun photo shoot of everything I built and painted in 2018 next week. Thanks for following!

Been a long time since I added to my list of finished warbands and random models for Star Breach gaming! So long, my last post was last year! Haha. But I have been busy nonetheless, with paint and life (had my second daughter in February, woot!) and I’ve also been busy continuing to promote Star Breach and prepare it for an upcoming Kickstarter in the fall.
Anyways... I remember mentioning a while back that I wanted to completely clear my “to-do” paint desk before my Zombicide order hit in May, and I’m pretty stoked to say I made it happen just in time! I did get some help from my commission painter on a few models, but I also added some more pieces to the original to-do list, so it evened out a bit. Haha. Here’s what I got done in the last 5 months, in order of completion:
-GW Rogue Trader Gellarpox for Terrors of Abaddon, Terror Legion and Terror Cult in Star Breach (painted by my commission painter, Lim)
-Battle Systems Galactic Terrain (awesome kit, punched from thick card)
-GW Necromunda Terrain and Scatter (painted by me)
-GW Genestealer Cult for Hive Cult or Contiuum Syndicate in Star Breach (painted by me in only inks—tried something new)
-GW Necromunda Gangers for Terror Cult, The Resistance, Nomadic Raiders in Star Breach (painted by Lim)
-Infinity Panoceania and Warlord Games Concord mixed models for The Path (Warlord Freeborn Nauru’s soon to be finished) or Intergalactic Marshals (painted by Lim)
