I have always had a keen interest in mid/late 19th wars. I was first drawn to this period by a game at Salute using Aly Morrison's Shiny Toy soldier range in 42mm. I particularly liked the range and colours of the uniforms plus not much cavalry to contend with (I hate painting cavalry). With the release of Waterloo to Mons Miniatures, I was in, I like the "Old School" look of the figures which is ideal for the period I feel.

Bloody rebels!
Nice looking blue coats.
Are you going to paint the glorious Danes too?
