I've posted the rules for my Alien Invasion games here:
http://www.matakishi.com/alieninvasionrules.htm
There's a link to the free pdf download at the end. The pdf is 2.0Mb and includes the full game rules, rules for five factions, a four player scenario and a set of printable Action cards for each faction.
There's lots of background stuff here:

Absolutely top, Matakishi, lots of inspiration, it took two hours to read through all the stuff and take looks at all the pics. I'm hooked by spugs, i always wanted to make an alien force and your spug force is just great, i wish i had the idea first :D
I'm thinking about the Bob Olleys Drantakhs by Regiment Games:

any ideas about minis that would be suitable to the Drantakhs? I need some big and mean creatures :x
-
I have two sets of Drantakhs and plan to get the new ones as well. I hadn't considered adding anything to them but then, I hadn't given much thought to what they are or what they do.
I am tending towards a desert dwelling race since they look like camels, their suits may welll be stilsuits similar to the ones from Dune. In which case desert fauna would be good: Vultures, attack camels, scorpions, spiders, snakes etc.
I'll keep my eyes open. The best thing about 'Alien Invasion' is that I can produce a small force of just about anything and use it; the perfect justification for buying any figures I like!

Desert idea isn't bad, i like it. It left space for imagination. Also giant worms would be suitable with the theme.

Heresy do a nice giant scorpion, you could mount robot guns on their backs (I think I'll give this a go)
-
yep and this cyclop could get some power armour and a BIG gun. I like the idea more and more :D

Yeah Matakishi! That is definately a treasure trove of goodies in there. Much appreciated.
I just got two packs of these Drantakhs this week.. Super fast turnaround...I got them 2 days after ordering. The minis are great, other than the integrated base, which I loathe...but I'll just chop that off.

OK, guys, here we go, i've ordered the Drantakhs, the Cyclop, the Scorpion, Mongoose Cliff Mites and Brain Bug, Grendel Alien Vehicles and thinking about some Alphaforge creatures.
Soon the Earth will be mine
-
I look forward to seeing them finished :)
I've amended my first post here so it includes a link to the free pdf of the game rules.
-
thanks for that, i've downloaded the PDF. Is it possible to play the game with only two players? I'm looking for an easy game like this to play it with my daughter
-
Two players is fine.
-
just read the rules. Really easy, i like it, just what I need :) One question, why the turns are not allowed while the movement? I think the ability to turn would make sense. Or not?
-
Feel free to turn if you want to.
I use pre-cut measuring sticks because I don't like metal tape measures being waved around next to my figures and it speeds everything up during play.
Because you choose which figure in your group to measure the move for and because you can place figures anywhere around him at the end of the move nobody ever gets stuck anywhere or has to fiddle about with short moves unless they want to.
You really have to try it out on some terrain to see how it works. Nobody has ever needed to turn during a move in any game.
Only vehicles have a need to turn and the rules for their movement require you to plan ahead as you should do when driving :)
