There doesn't seem to be a section for modern miniatures so I thought I'd try asking here. Does anyone know of a line of modern horror miniatures that would work for games like Chronicles of Darkness? Something that has modern vampires, werewolves, etc usable as both villains and characters? I'm hoping to find something other than the awful Horrorclix minis from Wizkids.

Not sure what be counted as "modern" or "suitable for Chronicles of Darkness"... Also would Horroclix reference mean they should be over 28mm? Zombies at least should be pretty easy to find.
If ca. 28mm will do, Iron Wind Metals and Ral Partha Europe have Shadowrun minis, some of which might apply. They also used to carry Vampire the Masquerade and whatever-that-werewolf-game-was-called (Apocalypse?) but apparently not any more. I have a couple of minis from that last lying around incidentally.
Comfy Chair Games did Spinespur but I don't think they are live any more.
Konflik '47 from Warlord has some WWII werewolves and vampires that might work as well if you don't paint them in period colors.

For > 28mm, Wild West Exodus and Malifaux have some minis that are somewhat period agnostic. Both tend towards steampunkish overall however.

For zombies, googling for "modern zombie miniatures" should suffice. Not going to touch that rotten meat myself ;D

I am looking for 28mm. By "modern horror suitable for games like Chronicles of Darkness" I mean things like vampires and werewolves, but with modern (1990s - 2019) clothing, weapons, and tech. Miniatures suitable for a game based on the first Underworld movie, if that's more helpful. I'm not looking for zombies, I already know there are tons of places to get modern zombies (like the new Walking Dead game from Mantic).

There is also the Road Kill range from West Wind - lots of vampires and werewolves and other modern horror types, often on motorbikes!

If you are US based, they are also available from Old Glory.
The sculpts are showing their age a bit, and apparently some of the biker ones are a nightmare to put together, but they would be a good starting point.

Crooked Dice have a range of figures suitable for modern games (not just the '70-80's).

Hasslefree do 2 variants of Underworld chick.

Pulp City has a number of modern werewolf-ish types, like Moonchild (http://newstore.pulp-city.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=59&product_id=64), Loup Garou II (http://newstore.pulp-city.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=59&product_id=113), Bigfoot (http://newstore.pulp-city.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=59&product_id=204) and Zombie Wolf (http://newstore.pulp-city.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=59&product_id=154), though they're more to the 30mm scale.
Some more suitably big (though naked and unarmed) half-form werewolves from North Star, here (http://www.northstarfigures.com/prod.php?prod=8927) and here (http://www.northstarfigures.com/prod.php?prod=11549), as well as wolves (http://www.northstarfigures.com/prod.php?prod=10402).
Otherworld Miniatures make a werewolf (https://otherworldminiatures.co.uk/shop/wilderness-encounters-2/we7c-werewolf/), wolves (https://otherworldminiatures.co.uk/shop/wilderness-encounters-2/we8a-wolves-4-2/) and dire wolves (https://otherworldminiatures.co.uk/shop/wilderness-encounters-2/we8b-dire-wolves-2-2/) as well.
For modern Nosferatu types, Black Cat Bases has a line of ghouls in hoodies (http://blackcatbases.com/product-category/figures/figures-ghouls/) charging with improvised weapons, crawling out of sewers and, less generally helpfully, riding bicycles.
(The long out of production official miniatures for the World Of Darkness (http://www.miniatures-workshop.com/lostminiswiki/index.php?title=Category:White_Wolf) include various armed werewolves among other things, which you might be able to find on eBay, and Chronicles Of Darkness has all of five official miniatures for the Vampire: The Requiem board game Prince Of The City (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/13456/vampire-prince-city).)
