Does anyone do 28mm mounted Woodland Indians other than Perry and Warlord?
I am thinking more for chieftains than warriors.
-
Many moons ago, I bought the set from Conquest Games...but now they're own by Warlord. Those are still nice figures.
-
Thanks for the reply. The Warlord Games figures are nice. I just wondered what else was available.

I know of just a few. They probably won't suit you. I've never seen the Perry figures. The Conquest/Warlord set are the best mounted Woodland Indians that I've seen.
Willies has one mounted Red Indian Chief. He's a 30mm figure, the horse is *huge*. Shmaybe put him on a smaller horse to better blend with 28mm figures:

Rafm has a portrait figure of a mounted Joseph Brant in their Indian Chiefs pack. He wears an AWI officer's uniform, with plumes stuck into a headband instead of a hat. This is a 25mm figure and the horse is tiny. Shmaybe put him on a bigger horse to better blend with 28mm figures:

Reaching even further...Old Glory has a pack of 28mm Mounted Sac & Fox in their Warpaint line. These are clearly Plains warriors. Their long hair with roaches tied on puts me in mind of Eastern Plains people that George Catlin painted, Osages, Otos and Pawnees. There isn't a musket among them. I'm pretty sure the figures holding little crooked sticks, which are described as 'tomahawks', are actually holding coup sticks. Shmaybe you could convert them into something useful:

That's all I've got.

Perry,

I'd go with Perry and conquest myself. Although Brigade games has some very nice natives (Sculpted by Paul Hicks).

Brigade don’t do mounted woodland Indians though?

It's going to be very hard finding mounted woodland indians.

I am sure I have seem some others somewhere other than those suggested above. I just can’t remember where.

Long time ago, back in the 1980s, Frontier Miniatures (remember the Modeller's Mart catalog?) produced one (1) mounted Seminole figure. He was dressed as an early 19th century Creek, in a long fringed hunting shirt and a turban with plumes, musket in his hand. It was a true 25mm figure, and nowhere near current sculpting standards. Impossible to find these days.
Good luck with your search, I'll be interested to know what else turns up. And thanx for that pic of the Perry figures, Marco.

I didn't say these lines were as complete as I'd like. For instance...No Shawnee? Why?

Foundry has some Blackfoot mounted:
