Title: BEF Guy Lizard (15mm)

Here's the Guy Lizard ACV I designed and printed yesterday. It's nominally in 1:100 scale — estimated from photographs with blokes in them, since I have no concrete dimensions at hand — but I suspect it's a smidgeon too big. However, it's not so out of scale that it looks wrong on the tabletop, so it will do for me until and unless I get some more reliable dimensions than guessing.

It will cost me an extra 12 points in Battlegroup Blitzkrieg to upgrade my BEF FHQ from a staff car to this, but it might be worth it to keep them safe from my wildly erratic mortarmen.

If you feel an overpowering need to own one yourself, you can get it from Shapeways:

I reckon that looks terrific in 15mm. Though I might want to tone down the rivets a little, it's very characterful. And yeah, errant mortarmen are always a problem.

I know what you mean about the rivets — I was trying a new method of making them, and they got a bit out of control. I think I'll be going back to the old method in future, which apart from anything else is easier. Exaggeration for effect is all very well, but this goes a bit further than I like.

That looks excellent. Nice painting as well.

From the title I almost assumed it would be an escapee from the Weird War sub forum ^__^.

Fitz,
Would this have been around as early as 1938 as it looks great for AVBCW?
Also I've been trying to find the carden-lloyd carrier you did on shapeways but can't seem to find it anymore, do they take things off from time to time?
Thanks
WB

Terrific job! For me, tne rivets look great and accentuate the age of the vehicle compared to the newer Dorchester. Top job mate.👍

I think you'd be OK for '38, but I don't absolutely know for sure.

As far as Shapeways unilaterally removing things.... nothing would surprise me about them any more. They're getting to be a worse and worse company to deal with, and their latest site redesign is excruciatingly bad.
