Title: Wicker Man Figure
Post by: SeptimusPretorius on November 21, 2018, 03:03:56 AM
Does anyone know where I might find a 7-9 inch Wicker Man figure suitable for 28mm figures other than the one Ainsty Castings used to sell?
Thanks
Ben

Could you scratch build one?  Maybe get some plastic gabions from Renedra or Italeri and assemble them into a vaguely man-shaped sculpture?

Tried that...waited 7 weeks for delivery...it never came...Alan refunded my money, though...so I need to find an alternate source. I think I'll just scratch build one.
Thanks

I've seen that one.. It's really cool...its just not big enough to meet my needs...however, I did buy CD's Wicker Man human figures...as far as the actual wicker man, I've resigned myself to a scratch build.
Thanks

In Sunjester's defence, you did use the past tense ^__^.

Certainly...because I can't vouch or testify that they still actually sell one...I know I didn't get mine...
Thanks again

I would like to reiterate that Alan at Ainsty DID refund my money and was super nice about it...not trying to put him down at all...it just never arrived so I'm going another route...sometimes transactions just don't work out...I appreciate all of your input...I have decided to scratch build a wicker man...thanks again, all!

Just an idea - maybe look voor a cheap action figure in the size you're looking for and use it as a '3D template'. Put some toothpicks/cocktail sticks/real twigs next to arms/legs/torso (after disassembling said action figure) and use these to make a wicker body part a you would make gabions (as posted by Snitchy).

This might help to get the proportions right.
