Phantasy Star Online was an online game for the Sega Dreamcast that came out in December 2000. Since its release, it's had numerous updates for different systems and is currently available in Japan for the Nintendo Switch.

It has always been something I wanted to bring to my tabletop and recently I've been busy writing the rules and scenarios for a role-playing version (a planned skirmish game proved not to be suitable). Since I've entered the 'paint all the miniatures and make all the scenery' phase it's getting an airing here :)
To begin with some Boomas and a Gobooma from the forests of Ragol.

Cool.

I foolishly went with Infinity miniatures for my hunters. As I expected I wasn't able to do them justice so I turned to McYellowbelly who painted them for me in double-quick time to a far better standard than I could manage.

There's more to come, they're in the basing queue.
Meanwhile, I've completed the rules and written the first segment of the campaign which covers the forests of Ragol. Here's a Dropbox link if you'd like to have a read through. Please note that the standard screenshots will all be changed for 'in-game' shots once the miniatures and scenery are finished. This is a preview only.
