Go on then, I'm in :)
Ewok village (or at least part of one) to go with the trees I've already made.
Hopefully three bases but probably not. Couple or three trees on each with, I think, removable Ewok stuff (just in case I run out of time as the Ewok stuff will be last).
-
Hmm, just posted about a dead Ewok on another build something so... dead ewok?
Looking forward to seeing this when it is finished together with your other Endor things. Can I suggest a Gorax in the background? (oh yeah, we don't speak of that movie).

He is doing EWOKS!!!
lol lol lol

We don't judge plushies.

I have never thought of him as a 'plushie' before!
;D ;D ;)

Removable ewok stuff is a great idea.

Here’s a start, of sorts...
I’m going for larger bases for the ewok trees just to help stability and later after the comp I might look at rebasing the original ones to allow for more modularity with the village layout.

Oooh, that's going to be BIG!
-
Crikey, that’s a big un!
-
Same size as the others... Thinking I've probably bitten off more than I can chew... Again lol lol
-
Are you branching out with this one...........or is it just the trunk with the village on it?
-
A solid start - don't listen to the distractors!
-
Thanks :)

Dunno yet mate, quite a few of the village platforms are supported by logs that aren't coming naturally out of the tree. I think I should but we'll see how the time goes. I can do it on later ones when the comp is over :)
So, the base has things stuck and filled and will be glooped next. Then the tree can be textured and after that there won't be much to show as it'll be painted before most of the growies go on.
I'll prove to be an interesting comp as growies can really change a model. Lots of surprises from all the entries in store I feel 8)

Missed this before, sorry mate. I've got a rather large rancor and if the trees don't have Ewok shit all over them then we could play on Dathomir (EU version of course) :D

Made a little start on an Ewok platform. The under beams are tacked into the paper with wood glue to help keep them in place, different thickness dowel was then stuck on top (after being ‘chipped’ with a scalpel) with some having an angle cut so they’ll fit between the normal ones.
The little furry companion is on a 20mm base (although he needs to be finished painting).

nice work simple and effective 8)

Looking good :-* :-* :-*
Have you got many Ewoks? I take it that the one shown is a WOTC Bendy plastic one?
How does he scale up with imperial assault?
-
Thanks chaps :)
Colin, I’ve got three (all bendies) lol
I’ll take a photo against a normal bendie trooper and a Legion rebel trooper later today (I don’t have any IA figures, sorry).
-
That's great. Will you be doing a spit ready for a smuggler.
-
Very tempting lol
Managed to get a bit more done on this. I've had to give the rocks a start with painting but they're not finished. I need to mess up the little sticky out branch a bit then I can texture the whole tree.

Loving all your Endor projects James. 8)

The painting on those rocks is marvellous. You'll have to show me how you do it, if you don't mind? :D

You're on! I'll get you a pint for your troubles.

Five minutes it is then lol

Texture is done on the trunk and this won’t be seen again until the end. The Ewok bits will be though as I’ve still got the huts and walkways and stuff to do. Original trees for scale and a close up of the texture.

That really is going to be some size, though you can't really do this and not have it big, it just wouldn't look right. I think you've got the scale-size balance right.

Beware people with big sleeves ;D
-
This is great. And huge! :o
-
Belated thanks :)
With the extra time available I think I can get some more Ewok village stuff done :)
Just the platform for now but it sits quite well on the branch and has supports underneath on the other side to keep it level (ish).
