Title says it all really.....
Medieval 3 field crop rotation system
My 13thC village won’t be complete without one. Also, 3 different types of field will likely provide 3 different in-game effects.
I’m thinking a field each of
1) Corn
2) Cabbage
3) Grass (though ploughed might be more interesting)
I might have to withdraw if my purchased cornstalks breach the 25% threshold - will have to see how it comes together.

Cool!

SI,
Being an American I always interpret corn as maize. I am not sure that you do though. As part of the Columbian exchange, maize, of course, would not be right for 13th c. European agriculture. Assuming that you are aware of this what kind of grain (s) would you be growing/modeling?

Thank goodness for cooler heads! :D That’s a great intervention. 8)
Corn is a generic term in England (and Europe) so the seed crop will likely be either barley or wheat (not ‘American’ maize). I do need to do more* research pertaining to what cereals and vegetables grow at the same time and in what seasons. I’m also mindful that my peasant cottages already have cabbages in their gardens whereas ‘pre-harvest’ seems too warm for cabbage....
*by ‘more’ I mean ‘some’ ;) Thus far I have merely blurt out recollections from 40 years ago school ‘history’ lessons :o
