I am wondering if anyone knows of 28mm figures for early French Canadian trappers or traders.
Say the 1680s-1720s period. The ones for French and Indian Wars are too late weapons and look
wise. Wanting to use them for the Beaver Wars era.
Thanks

I've heard that Crucible Crush is planning a Champlain set, but the figures are not yet listed on their website:

Happy Wanderer did some quite exhaustive research on the King Philip's War period 1675–78 and found that flintlocks were common in this period

That is good to know. But, at least for me, I always feel the clothing depicted for the French and Indian wars doesn't have that earlier period feel.
I am wrong on that do you think?

Crucible Crush Games as mentioned has suitable figures on the verge of being released: https://www.cruciblecrush.com/store/range/14/Flint_Feather/
Brigade Games has miniatures for King Philip's War: http://brigadegames.3dcartstores.com/King-Philips-War-1675-76_c_36.html These are more New England rather than New France, but at least are from the same era (1675-76).

I did King Philip's War which is within your time frame and used Brigade Games KPW figures and ECW figures from various manufacturers though none of them look much like trappers.
-
I also do the KPW and have the Brigade figures. Really nice figures and line!
However, I agree, they don't look too french trapper to me.
-
Probably the "Praying Indians" (http://brigadegames.3dcartstores.com/BG-KPW115-Praying-Indians-Pilgrim-Allies5-_p_4488.html) from Brigade games would best represent European trappers.

The figures Crucible Crush are going to release will be great but a little early for your time period. The whole Flint & Feather range is excellent.

The CC figures are wonderful. I have of bunch of the Flint and Feather.
Too bad the Champlain figures will be too early. I am still looking forward
to them.

Firelock Games will likely have some out later this year :)

Cool!
And, Mindenbrush, I do have the Foundry Mountain men, you are right a couple of them would work.
