A preview for my game at Little Wars in April

Nice job. A bit clean, but looks good. Scratchbuilt?
-
We sailors would call that ship-shape. Like it.

That looks like a laser cut MDF model. But I forget which company..

Sarissa Nile gunboat by the looks of it.
Looks like the hand rails are a modification.
Well done getting it to the table.
I hope you have a great game with it.
-
It is a Sarissa. I replaced the rails with brass stock. It is a bit clean, but it’s starting its career as Royal Navy vessel so I figured the deck would be well scrubbed.
-
Found those on the Sarissa site this morning. That's "Colonial Paddle Steamer." There is also a "Colonial Paddle Steamer 2" which has paddle wheels on the sides. Both come with what looks like wooden railings.
-
That looks great! I like the clean look.

Rich, beautiful job sir! What's the scenario and what rules do you plan to use?

Thank you. I’m planning on a small Anglo/Egyptian Force tasked with eliminating a particularly troublesome Mahdist Shore battery. There will be some Dhows floating around as well. And a surprise or two. Rules will be “Mars Needs Steam”
-
Rich, I never heard of those, I'll have to check them out. We use "Gunboat & Dhow!" A variant for The Sword And The Flame. I'll check back in to see how it goes. I hope you will grace us with some more pics and an AAR.

A nice looking model.

Very nice work.

Very inspiring gunboat indeed.
Which gun models did you use to complete your gunboat paddle steamer?
