Actually, I didn't. I did take a look to the post to check the link for an error, but it seemed ok and works now, so it was probably a faulty configuration at the target site.
Interesting minis in there. I'm looking forward to seeing more of the range.

Looking forward to lots of these figures.
I love the theme, though I would have told the story as being a strange area, deep in the jungles, where the universe doesn't make sense, as opposed to a different location.
This way, it's easier to explain-in more Vietnam War icons such as helicopters, ammo resupply, boats, crashed airplanes, Col. Kurtz characters, 1960s drugs and people making stories about this strange location deep in the jungle being blamed for being on drugs, and so on.
Also, CIA and Triad drug-runners, things like that.
However, they did a great job with this and I look forward to building and painting some minis.

This is the Golem, a creature that begins as pure energy but by animating the dead and using them as its hands, begins to build itself up out of organic and inorganic material. As it progresses it grows, its shape changes. the zombie servitors adding ever more matter, sometimes including themselves when they eventually merge bodily with the creature.

Black Sun, but not Kickstarter related.... I've tried to order something off the CC/Black Sun site and there's issues with your shopping cart. Two emails sent a month ago remain unanswered. Please advise.

I think I am responsible for screwing up their relationship with PayPal.
They mistakenly sent me two extra packs of their amazing Flint and Feather minis in a larger order. I insisted upon paying for them. We had repeated problems with PayPal and I think PayPal suspended their account.
I think they have fixed it a few days ago, roughly 18th of May 2019.
So, please don't blame Crucible Crush, just be patient for the moment and try your order again.
If it still does not work, please continue to be patient. It's not their fault and they are not doing anything wrong.

Looking great!
I got two sets of the Vietnam American GIs, they're nice sculpts. Looking forward to seeing this grow.
I think zombie Soviets make more sense than zombie Nazis, though, but heck, there are lots of cool ideas that will work well. :-)

Indeed. I agree. A Soviet faction would make more sense than a German Nazi one. And personally i think these particular miniatures do not look very .... good. But i am really interested in this whole idea as i am working on my own collection of miniatures (initialy for a Vietnam skirmish RPG situated on the HCM trail) and momentarily ..... lots of jungle terrain and lost temples. Together with some more fantasy/pulpy miniatures i have picked along the way i can turn it easily into something weird. ;-).

Totally agree about the lack of something soviet though, I'd really like to see some sort of soviet advanced science spetsnaz team, or a soviet mad scientist leading his half human/ half fishman people's proletariat force.

Indeed. As i stated in an earlier message i have been interested & working some time on my own collection of 'Nam related miniatures that is easily adeptable for 'something weird'. Of course getting on this KS is on my mind. The whole Lovecraftian/Cthulhu structure is a good choice as it is indeed pretty well known and provides much background and materiel.
Unfortunately i am not impressed with the choice of factions. The usual suspects are there of course; NVA/VC, Americans. And they should since it all goes down there somewhere in 1968. But initialy choosing a Germans faction over a Russian one is a total miss. Even Chinese would have been better.
Nevertheless the Adaro are a good idea but again not very well executed. It would have been much better to stick to the original attributes (shooting poisenous flying fish to kill ..... :-)) of this particular sea-spirit of the Solomon islands.
And what about that all engulfing enviroment, the jungle? A force that operates totally independent & unpredictable of the other factions. Is neither evil or good as humans perceive it but it very capable of causing serious mayhem & destruction on all sides. Coming out of the green wall of vegitation with devestating force and bewildering result and disappearing as suddenly as it came. Leaving the NVA, Americans and other factions second guessing and (sometimes) looking, blaming & retaliating in the wrong direction.
Just my two cents. ;-)

Those are all great points. And I think we have pretty much covered them all. The Adaro are just the lead elements of Chinese and Russian expeditions into the Black Sun, that is why they are armed with AK’s. I don’t think this varies too much from canon of Deep Ones armed with human instruments. They also have access to the Lemurian technology which mirrors some of the Father Dagon/Mother Hydra mythos canon.
You will see Russians and/or Chinese coming down the pipe as their own faction once we get deeper into the Cold War being mirrored in the Black Sun event. The jungle is a living breathing entity, we already have a Hazardous plant and the “What the” events in the game will bring this concept to life further.
I don’t recall flying poisoned fish in any of the Lovecraft stories but maybe I am missing something, we can certainly consider that as a side concept.
I guess our idea is that this whole concept is wide open to interpretation and we can do a lot with it and we are hoping all our fans will join us in bringing this project to life. We have added a hippie Children of Hastur faction to the mix so far which we think plays on yet another major movement of the era with a Lovecraftian twist. With all your help we can include many more ideas, themes and stories to the already existing concepts. So head on over and join us to collaborate in bringing this game to life by supporting us now.

Not sure if there's a mix-up here (or there) as i understood that Black Sun is heavily leaning on the legacy of H.P. Lovecraft for ideas & background and Dagon was by Lovecraft based (in part) on the mythology of (amongst others) the Solomon islands. However, the description & modus operandi of the mythological Adaro is much more interesting then a antropomorphus frog creature that looks much like a Gremlin toting (what a surprise) an AK. But i guess that, like all the others, this game needs armies. Unfortunately. Or that is what the creators of BS think it needs. I wonder (and i realise this comes from me being much more an RPG person) how long it will take before the hardware appears. And this whole idea (which i really like a lot) disappears behind rows of tanks, mecha's, soldiers in armoured suits (terminators :'( and other 'much needed' bits 'n pieces.

It’s great to hear alternate ideas as the creative process spawns and requires inspiration from many different sources. I am not sure if you are looking for an assurance from us that we are working to stick to the great traditions of the mythos started by Lovecraft and continued by the other writers of the milieu or if you are concerned about our direction.
I would just like to take the opportunity to remind everyone that this is a project helmed in the main by Bob Murch. Bob is well versed in the traditions of the Mythos. He has sculpted figures based on the Mythos for over 30 years, he has interacted with authors and fans of the franchise in the past. He knows the background and history of the troupes and horror of the Mythos. He sticks to these ideals unerringly. Anyone who has seen the work he has done on his own line of Pulp Figures can attest to his ability to bring the masterpieces of that period to life while maintaining the spirit of the work. So no you are not likely to see “terminators” in this game. I am sorry but I cannot promise that kind of figure.
However, this is a skirmish level tabletop miniatures game. It often carries elements of Role Playing to the tabletop but it doesn’t provide the full roleplaying experience. So yes provision for playing the armies is important to the game. However, as an advantage to roleplaying and unlike other KS of similar build, all the Factions are made of individual figures, there are no duplicates in our initial offerings. This fact makes the game a world full of rich stories and backgrounds about the interaction of the different Factions. Making each faction different in their abilities and scope in order to bring out the different aspects of the nationality or race in the game rules will be our goal.

Just an idea - Bob Murch made some excellent French Foreign Legion minis. They painted up really well, too.
The Foreign Legion fought in Indochina (Vietnam) before the US took over from France. I can see these guys in the Black Sun world, as well.
Are there already rules and characters planned for them?

The French Foreign Legion are definately planned. They would be their own Faction as well. We have been discussing hold overs from the Dien Bien Phu battle. You will not see them in this go around, probably as an expansion when we release the book. ANZAC are booked in to do as well. We have also had requests for Montyards. We cannot do everything at once, this Kickstarter is the tip of the iceberg.

Of course not! Nice to have a pipeline of ideas. I think this could turn out really cool, too.
Any likelihood of making the minis multi-part? Some of Bob's fantastic minis (I'm a big fan!) could do with some broadening. Hard to mould that in a single piece. This might be a chance to try something new.
I love those minis and the idea is really cool. Looking forward. Trying to paint up my American GIs but my little boy keeps taking them and using them to fortify the Lego fortresses he builds. :-)
