Title: 15mm basing flora
Post by: Ahistorian on March 03, 2019, 11:01:52 AM
Does anyone have any recommendations for flowers, heather and that sort of thing for 15mm figures & scenery bases? I'm happy to go for N gauge if it's easier - the main thing is that I don't want to overpower my slender Peter Pig minis with the massive 20/28mm clumps that my eBay searches are turning up at the moment.

Please & thank you :)

I would suggest using the railway stuff as there will be a wider range.

I use MiniNatur moss pads - you can also buy a flock - though it's tricky to get sometimes:

Then the occasional 2mm tufts to add a bit of variance.

I simply use grass colorored flock and/or static grass glued to the sanded and painted base.

Thanks for the replies guys! Searching 2mm tufts/flowers on eBay led me to these guys https://www.serious-play.co.uk/ (https://www.serious-play.co.uk/) who seem to have a decent range of flowers and other basing supplies. I shall be ordering in the next couple of days, I think.

A vote for Leadbear's Tufts. made by LAW's own Barry Scarlett. https://www.facebook.com/leadbearstufts/

I use them for all my 15mm stuff these days. Barry's a great guy to deal with too.

My 15mm Harmony 'Star Wars Appreciation Society' figures use some of Barry's tufts on the bases.
