Silly little thing...
-
Lots of variants....
Steve
-
Lovely!
Might be sensible to sell a separate file for the turret or turrets. Lots of those were mounted in the Stalin line, often enough by the simple expedient of burying the tank, leaving the turret clear.
-
Well there's no way I can't link this now:

Looks like fun to play with. Thanks for posting.

Fram thanks for that. A most absorbing 5 minutes.

There are more than that... there are at least 4 different suspension layouts as well.

I'd roll that to work every day.

Easily done ;)
-
Pretty much done.

Nice! Going to do the early model turret as well?

Nice! Going to do the early model turret as well?
Thanks!
Suspension is wrong for the early model and I can't be bothered to change that too...
-
I don’t mean the pre-production item, I mean the actual production version. See the line drawing. Left hand column, second from the bottom. Suspension looks identical to me.
Just saying that would open it up to all the BoB fans.
-
Having scoured the internet looking for pictures there are several suspension/track setups, some looks like it's off an FT-17 some looks very differnet. Most of them aren't in that image!
I can do the turret easily if there is a use for it.
-
Be careful with internet searches. There’s a widespread confusion out there betwixt the MS-1 and the so called Ruski Reno, essentially a knock off of the Ft-17. There are even conflicting theories on whether any were actually manufactured or whether they were refurbished, captured FT-17s.
-
That might explain it.
I also looks like most of the survivors are ex pillboxes so didn't have running gear and were lashed together with any old scrap
-
I like the idea of the SU-18 now too... but they only built one prototype... but it's an easy add on by the looks of it.
So I'll make the octagonal turret, a half hull to make a pillbox and an SU-18 I reckon, that shoudl do it for this tank.
-
Early turret as suggested
-
Nice!
-
I'm not happy with the drive sproket so 'll remake that.
Otherwise it'll go to the printer this afternoon.
-
is it just me or should that tank have a large key sitting out of the side? lol
-
lol
Vertically out the back deck?
-
Cute!
-
Better?
-
lol
-
Well to be thematic really you should take the matroshka doll approach 6mm T-18 nested inside a 15mm, inside a 28mm etc, etc.
-
The resin printer would allow you to do that... but all you would get is a rattle.
Or a Vickers light, in a Vickers medium in a Vickers independent?
-
lol lol lol
-
Another lovely job :)
-
Trouble is Im tempted to include keys with any I print now...

Hah....my job here is done! lol o_o
-
A needed model in 1/56. I am doing the 1929 Sino Soviet War and they were present.
-
:)
Ill see how it prints over the weekend
-
vz33 next please!
-
:)
Ill see how it prints over the weekend
I will be interested to see how it turns out.
-
What about a T-45, I wonder?
-
this is all looking good!
-
First two prints failed... not sure why. Trying again.
Not a problem with the files but the printer.
-
So its the early 1920s and the Soviets (or is that Rich) are messing with the prototypes? If the comrades plan to teach the world a lesson they need a Soviet machine to deal with those pesky FT 17s. So Comrade Rich how is the factory production coming together. Don't make us execute you. lol
-
Printer died... has been resurrected.... died again... then several 14 hour days at work so the answer is 'slowly'!
I've got a couple T-18s printed. I'll try and get some pics.
-
Excellent! I look forward to their shy exposure to our prying eyes. lol
-
Printer died... has been resurrected.... died again...
Sounds like the bourgeoisie imperialist agents have managed to sabotage a manufacturing plant of the people of the union of the Soviets.
Time to call the NKVD to purge the traitors! Za Leninu!
-
No idea whats going on but the neighbours have been replaced overnight...
-
Probably CIA plants watching you preform nefarious activities? ;)
-
They might also be faithful party members placed so as to prevent further sabotage by the bourgeoisie revisionist agents, as well as to ensure your unswerving loyalty to the internationalist revolutionary cause! Thanks to your proletariate efforts, the Peasants' and Workers' Army will be able to keep the rule of the Soviets safe from imperialist aggression!
-
Finally pics
-
Not bad. How much?
-
Yay!!
-
Not bad. How much?
Drop me a PM ;)
-
The Soviets are getting ready to roll right over those FT 17s. Nice Job. PM sent.
-
Well that's looking dead good!
-
The Soviets are getting ready to roll right over those FT 17s.
They certainly should, by the laws of historical dialectism! Not to mention that thanks to the heroic feats of the Soviet engineers, every tank has twice the armament of the proletariate-exploiting bourgoisie FT-17!
[That said, the short 37 mm guns on these sort of vehicles were not exactly ideal for anti-tank action.]
-
When the armour on these things is <5mm in places harsh words or a stiff breeze would suffice... lol
The description was 'bullet resistant' - my water resistant watch didn't like the damp.
-
I recall reading that in the Rif War at least one inferior FT-17 tank of the oppressive bourgeoisie imperialists was taken out by a brave local anti-imperialist pushing a sword or long dagger through a weak spot (vision slit?) and to the capitalist lackey crewman inside. (There probably would not have been much room to dodge inside, even if you knew such a blade was aimed at.)
As far as I know, no T-18 was ever taken out by such attack, again proving the superiority of the Soviet design!

Printing problems... sadly not spotted until I'd printed 6...
Inadequate support means the idlers aren't round :-[
-
A parade of MS-1s
Sadly about half have some print defects.
Got it sorted now though.
If anyone else needs a slightly wonky MS-1 let me know.
-
so about 1/8th of the way to a complete force?

so about 1/8th of the way to a complete force?
Well, 1/8th of a force that the enemy have apparently had the best of lol
