The Pan-Turkic Menace has manifested in the Dog Meat General’s provinces! Pouring through a poorly guarded pass, they have systematically looted the villages they have overrun. Peasants complain (those that are still around) that the Turkmen are more rapacious than even the Dog Meat General’s tax collection columns. Apparently, a local emir to the west with delusions of grandeur has equipped and deployed this expedition thinking the Dog Meat General to be easy pickings. (Now some of you may think these are Afghan Regulars but they are locally equipped Turkmen with obsolete rifles and blue tunics, see?). Air dropped pamphlets have assured the displaced peasants and suffering livestock that they will soon be back under the sympathetic liberal administration of the Dog Meat General.

They are all Herati infantry from the Foundty North West Frontier range - https://www.wargamesfoundry.com/collections/the-north-west-frontier-1880-1908/products/nw028-afghan-turcoman-regulars - to my mind one of the best ranges the Perry’s ever produced under the Foundry name. It’s a great shame their Perry Miniatures NWF range doesn’t match well in size terms making mixing the ranges frustratingly challenging.
Hope this helps....
