Title: Egyptian Campaign 1801
Post by: Mark Strachan on March 10, 2019, 10:00:56 PM
Yesterday we played the third game in an ongoing series to recreate the Anglo-French campaign in Egypt in 1801.

Following on from our previous game, a marginal British victory at Mandara, this game steps to the next historical game in the campaign and is based loosely on the Battle of Alexandria, although a number of British units that were present in the historical battle were not available having not recovered from being roughly handled at Mandara.

A very comprehensive report and an enjoyable read on your blog , Mark .  Interesting to see the 1801 campaign in Egypt featuring in a game . Great figures and terrain, btw , I think the desert mat worked well . What rules were used ?

A very nice game indeed. The Perry range was put to excellent use there.
