These guys have been in the lead pile a long time. They don't really fit in with my current favourite Samurai miniatures (Kingsford). The sculpting style is quite 'chunky' and a bit cartoonish, but I think they have lots of character and I do like them for that. Plus, they were a joy to paint. I'm really happy with how they turned out.

Which pack are those from? I have to agree that they don't fit with more conventional ranges due to their chunkiness and cartoony look, but that said I think they match up nicely with Dixon's range of samurai and monks and ninja.

Disregard....they're from the "Seven Samurai" pack. Imagine that.

I have to disagree on the cartoonish look.
Having painted several of the Curteys one I feel that the supposed cartoonish look is more evident in pictures than real life (okay white metal real life...). And on the tabletop they do not look bad opposed to other brands. They are not 30 or 32mm chunky...
Said that lovely brush work.
