Tales of Horror is now available from Wiley Games
Hopefully everyone at SALUTE got to see or possibly play Tales of Horror last weekend.
As with previous Fistful of Lead rules each player only needs 5 or 6 miniatures to start gaming. You can play 1 on 1 games or larger skirmishes with up to 6 or 8 players.
The main protagonists of Tales of Horror are the Vampires, Werewolves and other monsters from folklore and the horror films of the silver screen. This supplement describes the various creatures and provides traits and additional rules to allow players to use the Fistful of Lead rules to play Gothic Horror games, or any Horror genre.
Players will take on the roles of these Creatures of the Night, or the brave Hunters who pursue them.
40 pages of Gruesome Adventure.
Fistful of Lead: Tales of Horror is a supplement for Fistful of Lead. This is not a stand alone game. You will need a copy of Fistful of Lead Core rules or Fistful of Lead: Galactic Heroes to play.

Great to see it out. I can vouch for it being a really fun game.

Got mine (pdf) and what a fabulous cover for those of us of a certain age :o
The rest ain't too shabby neither

It’s great fun to play, really enjoyable. I hope it proves to be hugely popular. :)

Ordered my PDF on Sunday, plus a set of custom Tales of Horror playing cards. Downloaded the PDF right away, and love it. Came home today and my cards were waiting in the mailbox. The card deck is very nicely done. Agree with pauld about the fabulous artwork.
Many thanks to Jaye and the Fistful of Everything group for coming up with these excellent rules. Am always inspired by your most excellent game reports! :-*
Now off to the Oshiro site to pick up some Highgate minis.... :D

I purchased it as soon as the book was available and my copy just arrived yesterday!
Tales of Horror is WONDERFUL — I can promise you I’ve already spent way too much collecting figs to make warbands. The book is inspiring!

Great to hear this guys. I'm sure Jaye will be delighted to hear the feedback. Please post your after game reports, its always good to see other peoples games. ;D
-
Will their be any stockists in the U.K. or mainland Europe for fans of hard copies?
-
Yes, I am stocking them and will hopefully have them in the webshop this afternoon.
-
Great news. The playing cards too?
-
Pretty much everything Wiley Games has :)

Oh dear. I'll be talking to you (metaphorically speaking) later then.
-
Thanks for all the kind words, Gents. This has really been a labor of love by everyone involved (God knows I'm not getting rich from it). I got lots of help from the Fistful of Everything group.
And as Nick pointed out, please post any games you play.
As Grandpa Gruesome would say "No rest for the Wicked". I'm already on the next supplement: Wasteland Warriors and more lined up behind it, including some mass battle rules for a possible Salute game next year.
Thanks for the support.

Look great are the rules up on the website yet?
-
No, it’ll be tomorrow. Wickes is giving me a bit of grief ::)
-
Looking forward to getting my hands on these rules. I've got most of the rule sets Jaye has produced recently and they're great fun to play.
I'll be adding to my Gothic collection with the new Highgate releases soon so it's a bit like an early Christmas for me.
-
Just ordered my set along with the card pack, love these rules for old west games and cant wait to blow the dust off all my old EOTD minis and plunge into the foggy streets of old London.

Does it include rules for zombies?

Does it include rules for zombies?
Yes, there are rules for zombies, revenants and ghouls for the Necromancer group.
-
That's the group I'm in the process of creating.
-
Got my copy.
Just wanted to check if there is a typo on Page 22. It says Cultist Groups can use Necromance Specific traits - assume that's supposed to be Cultist Specific traits?
-
Correct. Should say “Cultist” traits.
-
Will Tales of Horror work with Horse and Musket as the core ruleset, or does it have to be the standard FfoL core set?
-
Close Combat and how Shock works has evolved and all the traits. You might be a bit confused without the core rules.
-
You can pick the pdf of the core rules up very cheaply.
-
You guys made me order it. Made me. And the core rules. See what you've done?
