I was watching the old cartoon Fire and Ice yesterday and found it inspiring.
Does anybody have any suggestions for miniatures to represent Necron's Subhumans?

They should be a bit rangy of build with preferably thick brows, a bit Neanderthal in facial structure.
I'm a big fan of well sculpted anatomy, and willing to pay for it, so hopefully I can find something suitable with your help!
I know of a few lines of ancients spearmen etc. but they all seem a bit squat and closer to human features than I would like.
If I can get tall and lanky and mostly makes I can do some facial modifications if I have to.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Check the Corelocks from Lucid Eye studios...

Yep, this. Maybe some Eureka Denisovans if you can do some sculpting of facial features.

Still one of my favorite films.Need to watch it again.

Ha! I've got a number of the Corelocks sitting in a box! You are right, add some spears, shorten the hair, and they would be pretty great.
I'll look at those Denisovans.

Perhaps Dark Fable's Cavemen would add some variation too:

Ooh I do like those dark fable cavemen. They've got a real brutish look. Thanks for the suggestion.
Looking at the Corelock their noses and faces will take a little work for the look I'm going for, but they are still a solid option.
Still welcome to any other suggestions, and big thanks for all the suggestions so far.

I also wonder if the naked Gallic fanatics from Victrix could work with some loin cloths and facial sculpting...
I tried to find a scale shot of them online to no avail.

Have you seen this old thread about ape men?

Thanks for the link to that thread Ethelred. Everyone keeps suggesting the pulp miniatures Neanderthals, but he lists them as being out of production. :(

I quite like these but am I reading correctly that they just send me the one they want rather than being able to choose one of the options?

I remember years ago someone over at TMP did Homo Floresiensis converting Foundry african Pygmies. I've been thinking to do similar with normal Darkest Africa tribesmen; adding a heavy brow with putty. I also experimented using Grenadier Half-Orc heads on tribal africans. They wouldn't be hunched enough really but I searched for long for suitable miniatures but they do not exist.
At least they'd be Copplestone sculpts. :D

Fire and Ice. I still remember the day it first appeared at the local video rental club. Great project. Cant wait to see what minis you will pick for the heroes.

I know that Eureka in Australia would normally be happy to have you send a note stating which figures you wanted.

Thanks for the heads up on those guys. Sometimes it feels like Steve Saleh at Lucid Eye is reading my mind for what I want to buy...
I'll be sure to pick those up.
