Title: Medieval Paint log - Hundred Year War Miniatures - last Update 07 -04
Post by: poulppy on May 14, 2019, 09:33:02 AM
as some people know, I'm crazy about medieval miniatures.  I begin this thread to share my last work on the subject.

This week i receive the new box of the Perry brothers : the Agincourt mounted Kinghts.

I open it and i begin to construct the first miniatures.

I choose also to try to enhance some of them :

I use for this one some bits from the Frostgrave sprue :

I use for this one a metal horse from the same range (I have to add the saddle)

I use for this one the arms from the Archer Box from the same range

Nice builds! And interesting to see the English archer arms on the mounted archers, I was a bit disappointed in the lack of options for the mounted bowmens' arms so that's a good idea to vary them!

How will you be painting them up?

yes, I think the perry box are really better if you buy them all from the same range.  You can multiply the options after.

I want to paint them as French knights for Agincourts / Orleans and English Marauders for the Agincourt campaign. The model are like this one i already made :

Excellent work on the Pavisiers! Are the Parisian blasons freehand?

Nice to see such a diverse range of miniature sources fitting so well together!

Excellent work! I especially like Alençon, nice paintwork and I'm really fond of the pose the mini has too!

The red highlights on Beaumont's Houppellande are great too, very impressive!

Hi Poulppy,

Those Old glory Scottish pikemen, nicely painted btw, do you know whether they are the HYW set or the WOTR version?

Thanks Poulppy,

Old glory's HYW range looks quite good, it is a pity they don't have some decent photo's on their web site. I will certainly be buying those Scottish figures.

To complete the army, i finished some 'Billmen' . They are from the HYW rannge of Front Rank. These miniatures are at heroic size, so they are bigger than the Perry's. You cannot mix together. They are great miniatures. They are sold individually that allow you to choose all the miniatures you want and only the ones you need.

I like this range cause they are really great to paint.
