Hi everybody !
Would you know where to find mesh compatible with our 28mm!?
For my project Sengoku Jidaï I will need it in small quantities, by cons for my project Goa 1510 in large quantities!
I found metal mesh at a very reasonable price but it is a WOUND (literally as well as figuratively: I scratch my fingers while working on it!) To work!
Do you know where I can find plastic for example?

Have a look in a haberdashery ship (sewing supplies) or a good craft shop.
I bought some mesh ribbon to make a chain link fence.

You could try to find some plastic nets in hardware or garden stores : I found some grey (metalized if I remember correctly) nets this way. The store can cut you the lenght you want, width here in france is usually 1 meter.

How big should the mesh be?
Plastic window screen is cheap and easy to get a hold of.

The metallic mesh i had is a 2mm square grid, but it's very difficult to work with ...
But 3 mm could be fine ...

Have you tried cross stitch plastic canvas?

I'm currently making insect screens for our house and ordered some plastic fly screen mesh from amazon. Was only about a tenner for 2m by 1m, and needless to say I'm saving all my offcuts for grates and fences!

Stronger than the fabric I've used in the past, but less bitey than the metal

Try tulle. It's the small mesh they use for things like wedding veils. The plastic version comes cheap on rolls at craft and fabric stores. I've used it for scale chain link fencing before and it's just about perfect.

All seems to be interesting !

Ouch 0,7 x 0,7 mm pattern is too smal !
I need a minimum of 1,5 mm , better 2 mm !

Another vote for insect screen mesh here. Durable and easy to find!

This is what I use at the moment but it is extremely hard to cut! And that is the problem !

Here's a pic of the plastic grey mesh I bought, with a 28mm figure.
Really ( here in France at least) you can find it in most garden and/or hardware stores ;)

Alluminum pan cover mesh. Easy to cut easy to form, dirt cheap when compared to photo etched meshes and the rest modelling supplies
