Title: My new terrain project: modular DUNGEON
Post by: D. Brownie on June 13, 2019, 12:36:10 PM
Hi guys,
Finally I've begun to build my modular dungeon (in 15mm scale).
It Will be far away from some masterpieces we can see on LAF (which, among other things, I wouldn't be able to create) like this http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=115127.0
but it's intended mainly to play... :D
[/img]
It's both in XPS and EPS.
I'd like to build many rooms and corridors to play both normal games like Frostgrave ( Into the breeding pits) and solo dungeon crawl. I've Just tried a new and Little known set of solo/coop rules I like very much: Blood on the Blade, which has many free expansions, including a dungeon crawl One...

This looks interesting. I'm guessing you're using thicker foam as a base so that you can have sunken areas? Keep posting the updates please!

Don't sell yourself short. Strive to make it the best thing you can possibly make. It will be awesome. Different from your inspirations, maybe, but awesome nonetheless. Use inspiration as inspiration, not as a mirror to your own work.

And you are yet another person doing 15mm that is pushing me over the edge to start something 15mm as well.

Thank you Daniel! Great words :'(
First corridor Is now completed.
To make all more modular ( the best way Is not doing walls, but I like much more with...) I decided to build Little Pieces of Wall to close Door passages and that I''ll make 1 passage on every side of the rooms.

Resin filled sunken floor by any chance?

Hi,
because of my poor english I thought that sunken would mean metaphorically "at a lower level" lol
Actually here I'm going to make a lava pool similar to that in my modular Mountain...

I'm thinking about making something like a sewer too, and in this case I'd use resin certainly ;)

Great looking stuff. Somehow I think I missed that you are doing all of this with polystyrene foam. In your modular mountain thread I made the assumption this was blue/pink foam. Your top coat seals all the little gaps and imperfections magnificently!

How big are you planning to make this?
Title: Re: My new terrain project: modular DUNGEON
Post by: D. Brownie on June 20, 2019, 10:05:45 PM
Hi,
Never seen Blue foam, but probably Is the same or at least very similar.
Since it's Handmade there are many Little imperfections.... ;)
Here my new corridor,  just before the glue coat... I like much more than After coating, but I'm obsessed with scratches lol
My Plan Is making a big surface totally covered by rooms and corridors... 3x3, 4x4 I don't know... The lava corridor Is 9,5 x 17,5 cm.

This project is very promising - thanks for sharing.  I am looking forward to seeing more. The rooms look very menacing, exactly like they should.

15mm (shudder)... I have enough trouble seeing the fiddly bits on 32mm figures these days!

Hi,
Not so much as One can Imagine... Last One was the longest... More than 2 hours only to match the corners of the walls. Foursided rooms are far swifter once you get carried away. Most of the time Is wasted between various phases waiting for glue and colours that are drying.

Hi,
Never seen Blue foam, but probably Is the same or at least very similar.

When folks talk about blue foam, they're talking about the high-density kind. It's far more durable and takes carved details much more easily. I had a hard time finding some at first, too. But I visited several hardware stores here in France, and finally in Lery-Merlin, in the building materials section outside I found sheets of this high-density foam (intended for insulation), 20mm thick, it's great stuff for a variety of uses. I've been doing mostly outside decor with it (hills, rocks, ruins, pyramids) but it would work even better than the low-density foam for a modular dungeon because it's less subject to breakage.

This said, your modular dungeon project is great! keep up the good work.
Title: Re: My new terrain project: modular DUNGEON
Post by: D. Brownie on July 15, 2019, 07:25:23 AM
Thank you Phil!
Unfortunately in Italian bricolage shops, and I went in many, I couldn't find bluefoam panels, only from specialistic seller where they call It Styrofoam and cost too much. My panels of XPS too have High density, even if probably a bit less than Bluefoam.
Main problem for me Is thickness.... I can find only 3/5/6 cm XPS panels.
So for the walls I was obliged to use low density 1cm EPS and to apply After painting my shiny :?, but hardening vinavyl stratus...

Apples and oranges. Diablo is a dungeon crawl game and I have no dungeon lol. This is great work though. Really good looking and solid terrain that will surely see play time for years to come. I enjoy a well crafted scratch built terrain solution.

By the way, I meant to ask if this meshed up with the volcano/cave build at all.

No, the Volcano is a totally separated project.

Now 2 more rooms... One normal and my favourite until now: the bridge room.

Any further ideas for new rooms? ???
Title: Re: My new terrain project: modular DUNGEON
Post by: CookAndrewB on July 30, 2019, 12:46:14 PM
That bridge room is awesome. I think it turned out really well.

Hmmm, other rooms?
1. Throne room (always need a skeleton king on a throne surrounded by statues etc). Maybe most of that is set dressing, but the room itself might need a dias and some alcoves? I suppose if you did a dias then you could also plop a big ominous statue on top as an alter or something.
2. Crypt room, which I think is similar to the above in that it could just be set dressing with some alcoves set into the walls?
3. You have lava, but where are the flooded tunnels and flooded rooms?
4. Maze room? I feel like there are always tightly winding maze levels in games like Eye of the Beholder.
5. L-bend hall; as you already have a T and a straight.
6. You have the river of lava stuff going on, but I feel like you could also make a lavafall (you know, waterfall but with lava?). The rivers have to come from somewhere. A lavafall combined with the throne/giant evil statue dias idea would make a rather sinister boss battle room!

Assuming sometimes you get into the dungeon through a cave
7. Cave to dungeon transition.
8. Pure cave tunnels (could just be a tunneled out way to get from one part of the dungeon to another. Blame it on Dwarves. Always digging.
9. If you get digging, then you clearly need something like a collapsed tunnel or an incomplete dig. This could also just be a big piece you drop into a hallway to block it up.
10. If you plan to represent some multi-level aspect to the dungeon then an up/down stair section would be a good way to represent where a party can exit to the next level of the dungeon.

Here the throne room (without the throne), that looks like the interior of a church... The round apse Is elevated and the throne should be here... Or maybe it's the Place for a Bloody Altar of dark God...

Plenty of space to go!!! The throne room looks really good.

Looking at the entire setup, it occurs to me that you also need an abyssal pit room, similar to your round room, but with a rather ominous large black pit in the middle.

That mix of colors worked really well. Great work there! Man, it feels like you are knocking these out at a pretty furious pace. I feel like you need to do a tutorial on the build process as I think your ability to churn out a really nice tabletop standard would benefit lots of gaming groups.

What can I Say? Thank you very much!
I have to finish my 16 levels before your Village... lol
Never thought about teaching my scratchbuilding techniques... I took inspiration from other tutorials of much greater level.  It's like art vs craft (mine Is craft...).
Many details are rough... On the other hand I must admit the overall impression is good and above all the work Is faster you can imagine. Main problem are dead times. For the cave (faster than normal rooms, maybe I'll do more :D) about 30 minutes of effective work, maybe 1 hour for a medium Square  Stone room.
Maybe, if someone Is interested I could start a new topic....

Title: Re: My new terrain project: modular DUNGEON
Post by: CookAndrewB on August 06, 2019, 06:05:37 PM
Well, for what it is worth, I doubt many people play on a table that has all the flair of a 6x8' diorama. I've seen some that will knock your socks off, but it isn't very realistic or practical for the average gaming group. I agree that there is need for that amazing art level stuff to spark the imagination, but I'd wager there is more need for a solid technique with easily/cheaply accessible materials. What you are creating here is amazing to me because it is exactly the type of terrain I would be excited to play on, and you are churning out playable rooms in the time that it takes Dominos to make a pizza  lol For a weekly gaming group I suspect that whole new sections of dungeon could be created between games, with a little bit of concerted effort.

In short, I think it meets all of the following criteria:
1) It looks good. It is begging for miniatures to run around and kill orcs on it!
2) It doesn't require the purchase of kits, tools, or uncommon materials. I think most people have all they need, to accomplish a similar project, laying around the house or at least easily obtained for free.
3) It is fast and still manages to circle back and fulfill point #1.
4) Clearly it is space conscious without sacrificing playable space. What you have already created would easily fulfill most 1-2 hour games with ample space to move around and it wouldn't be the same map each and every week.
5) It is accessible. There are tons of awesome miniature paint jobs out there that I can admire but not reproduce. If just anyone could do it we all would. The same goes for terrain. There are tons of really amazing works out there, but if I had the talent to replicate them I would. I think it is safe to say that most people want good terrain that they can truly DIY, and doesn't end up with one of those "at least you tried" types of looks about it.

Here Is what I use to make my dungeon:
- a 3cm XPS panel. You can use an higher One to have more depth to use for pits, lava pool, etc.
-a 1cm EPS panel. XPS would be Better, but I couldn't find a panel so thin.
- an Electric foam cutter
-set Square and ruler
-a straight long wooden Stick
-paints (White and black) and brushes
- a big amount of vinylic glue
-a small black felt tip pen
-toothpics
- a ball of aluminium food wrapping foil

Tomorrow I'll make a room...

Wow, your dungeon is really shaping  up, I like to see more of your rooms in the future.
Title: Re: My new terrain project: modular DUNGEON
Post by: D. Brownie on August 07, 2019, 06:29:34 AM
Thank you sir ;)

Oops I forgot the fundamental cutter ....

1. You have to draw the shape of your room on the 3cm XPS. Now another Andrew idea, relatively simple: L corridor. I realized that my dungeon isn't truly modular... :?
The measures are totally random.... I think would be Better to create every single piece on multiples of a base module (4' for 15mm or 5' for 28mm would be fine).
Anyway Always Remember the thickness of your walls.
To cut as straight as possible I use the Electric foam cutter and the wooden Stick as guide.
Title: Re: My new terrain project: modular DUNGEON
Post by: D. Brownie on August 07, 2019, 06:49:49 AM
Here the base of the room...
2. Now draw the floor grid. I chose 1,5 x 1,5 cm squares, except for the chess room (2,5 cm)  since my bases are so large.
Title: Re: My new terrain project: modular DUNGEON
Post by: D. Brownie on August 07, 2019, 06:53:09 AM
If you want an old built dungeon you can add some breaks in the floor tiles...
Title: Re: My new terrain project: modular DUNGEON
Post by: D. Brownie on August 07, 2019, 07:03:43 AM
3. Take the cutter and the precious wooden Stick as guide to cut the Lines you have Just drawn... Don't go very deep

Don't know if you can see It, but it's done
Title: Re: My new terrain project: modular DUNGEON
Post by: D. Brownie on August 07, 2019, 07:10:30 AM
4. take your pen and enlarge all your cuts.
Title: Re: My new terrain project: modular DUNGEON
Post by: D. Brownie on August 07, 2019, 07:21:03 AM
5. Roll the ball of food wrapping foil over the floor to make It a bit rough.
Now the floor tile Is completed ... You can now add walls but I saw many dungeons only made by floor tiles. Such dungeons give the great advantage that aren't conditioned by Door openings when you have to strange your dungeon to play.
On the other hand from an aesthetic point of view walls are far Better...
Title: Re: My new terrain project: modular DUNGEON
Post by: D. Brownie on August 07, 2019, 07:28:31 AM
6. Now cut the walls of EPS. Use Always the same height: I chose 2cm sine I play with 15mm minis.
Use the Electric foam cutter and the wooden Stick. Try do do the angles as near to 90° as possible...
Title: Re: My new terrain project: modular DUNGEON

Cut the walls of the appropriate lenght and Remember the openings for the Doors. These should be more or less Always the same size
Title: Re: My new terrain project: modular DUNGEON
Post by: D. Brownie on August 07, 2019, 08:02:13 AM
7. Make the Stones of the walls in every visibile part... First draw them, then cut with cutter, and in the end enlarge with the tip of the pen....

8. Build the walls with glue and toothpics. I cut them half and put in where Will be the Wall with tip facing up. Then a good amount of glue and position the wall

Hi Andrew!
At the moment I'm on holiday, so no more rooms for a while....
Yes, no warping. Only with pressures of a certain intensity.
Try with vinylic glue and a small piece of polystyrene (EPS), that's softer than XPS. You'll see ;)

I only ask because PVA glue can cause some warping on cardboard, and I'm actually finding some warping on foam core in one of my current projects. It seems to relax if I set something heavy on it overnight to hold it flat. I assume that the issue is uneven drying times so you get some expansion when the material is wet and then PVA tends to shrink and pull as it dries. Not an issue on something like MDF, in my experience. Not even an issue in really thin card or paper. I have mostly figured out how to work with it, but it is something I'm conscious of when working with PVA glue.

That is pretty much my answer too. That, or I just gently counter bend the material until the tightness is gone. Sort of like stretching a muscle, I suppose. The works pretty well on cardboard.

Back in action After my holiday....
Here a big pit room. Since my failure of self making Doors (I could produce only 3 usable Doors with a 40€ resin and silicon Rubber kit :'() I decided to buy a low cost 3d printer. Until now I've made 3 Doors and the broken grating in the centre of this room :)

This Is a surprising and totally unacceptable statement.

I think he means that he is going to steal it rather than the OP stole it from someone else (though forced perspective is hardly a new invention).

edit - based on his previous posting I am convinced that is what he meant.  He would be nicking the idea as it is such a good one.

I do love that forced perspective. Not sure if it came through in the final pictures, but the hole looks dark and that is certainly good enough for me! Does it show when you are standing there looking at it?

Also, I'm jealous of your printer. I have been trying to be patient and not buy one. I may ultimately fail at that lol

Yes. For the single Door used for the mold I paid 1£, and I Need many of them...

Something I did with my sci-fi game was to consider that any locked door would be represented by a physical door on the table. Any unlocked door would just be an open doorway. Fits the rules well as a locked door becomes a skill check, while an unlocked door would be... nothing. Depending on how you plan to game in your dungeon, you may only want to make a set of "locked" doors and the rest would be open doorways. Characters would become aware of any baddies in the next room only after crossing a threshold, or being within so many inches of the new room? Potentially less building headache if you would care to avoid it.

Never thought about this... I've planned to use 1 Door for every passage. So would Need 20/30 Doors. When you open the Door you see everything in LOS. Haven't played yet, so maybe I'm influenced by my childhood Heroquest experience...
Title: Re: My new terrain project: modular DUNGEON

I mean, knock yourself out! I figure a 3d printer might speed that process up a bit. Since I play solo I'm ok with the lack of doors, and the rules about when things come into view are different since I'm hiding my own Easter Eggs  lol

I could see it all being different if you were DMing a game and you knew what would be behind door #1. Then maybe there is some atmospheric fun in your players kicking open a door.

There are quite a few sources nowdays for very reasonable and cost-effective doors.  Zealot, Mantic (not a huge fan, but they exist!), even board games like Zombicide used to have a door expansion.

Title: Re: My new terrain project: modular DUNGEON
Post by: CookAndrewB on September 11, 2019, 01:01:32 PM
First off, I love the maze/labyrinth idea.

I guess my thoughts are as follows:
1) moveable walls. I feel like the labyrinth idea denotes a shifting maze and not simply a static build. That could be as complex as every wall being free standing and movable (could be tricky if bumped, etc... magnets?), or I would think that having MOST of the maze set in, with a few walls that can move to alter maze paths and patterns? Maybe still magnets, or walls that swing on a peg hinge? Not like a door, but a dowel set into the floor that a wall would sit on top of and swing? Is that clear?
2) My next idea would be actually creating multiple maze rooms that could be arranged in different patterns to create dead ends or exits into the next maze. four individual rooms should give you tons of iterations by turning rooms, swapping rooms around, etc. Depending on how bit you want the maze, I feel like no individual room would need to be huge.
3)  Third idea is to take one of your existing rooms and create a drop in maze. Just wall pieces which might be a little like suggestion #2, but without building whole rooms?

Or, for bonus points, do all three and see which you like best? lol

Hmmmm, jewelry box hinges. $6.99 for all the hinges you would need for ten projects, I imagine. Measure 10mmx8mm open.

Hi,
Very busy last days, so only painted my minotaur. But I bought some hinges and other materials for a incoming sewer expansion rooms: grilles (like thishttp://www.ralparthaeurope.co.uk/shop/index.php?main_page=popup_image&pID=3251), plexiglas sheet and 3d structure paste.... I'm thinking about removable sewer water, for enjoyable swims lol

Hi,
Foam with hot wire (cutting It with a Blade you make only a disaster). I'll show you a photo when I'll come home...
Title: Re: My new terrain project: modular DUNGEON
Post by: D. Brownie on September 19, 2019, 07:41:44 PM
Original and hot cut sides. The second Is the most neat and clean.
Very Sharp knife and cutter... Acceptable results only if you cut straightforward. Modelling Is impossible.
Title: Re: My new terrain project: modular DUNGEON
Post by: CookAndrewB on September 19, 2019, 08:05:15 PM
Cool, thanks. I had really mixed results cutting foam with a hot cutter. I found it hard to get straight lines, etc, but I was using a pen cutter and not a long heated wire type device.

All reasons that I have given up on foam myself. You do great work with it, but it feels a bit like black magic to me. I'm fairly certain you are a wizard. lol
Title: Re: My new terrain project: modular DUNGEON
Post by: D. Brownie on September 19, 2019, 08:27:29 PM
The hot pen cutter doesn't work well. Probably Is too big and doesn't reach the same higher temperature of the wire of the bow that becomes Red when on. The cut of the First isn't neat and the hot foam kneads...

Meanwhile I'm making experiments with moving walls.... Big problems... I don't think that EPS can sustain the hinge. Probably something would break very soon... You would Need very High quality hinges with almost no friction... :'(
My wizardry probably stops here....

Title: Re: My new terrain project: modular DUNGEON
Post by: Dentatus on September 20, 2019, 11:26:40 AM
I have a sword type wire cutter and it's great for hills and whatnot, but I had a devil of a time getting straight lines. There are table saw set ups that would be perfect but don't make enough terrain to justify the purchase.

This dungeon is looking great, btw. Can you soak/stiffen the foam with white glue where you plan to use the hinges? Or add a thin strip of balsa wood?
Title: Re: My new terrain project: modular DUNGEON
Post by: D. Brownie on September 20, 2019, 12:31:49 PM
Imo, speaking about the cheap side, bow/wire hot cutter Is the best. If you want to have (almost) straight Lines use a Stick ( mine Is wooden) as a guide. Otherwise if you want something perfect Just buy something like this:

https://www.amazon.it/Proxxon-Utensile-da-Taglio-Termico/dp/B0012BEKHU/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=foam+cutter&qid=1568981858&sprefix=foam+cutter&sr=8-3

Btw mine Is this One https://www.amazon.it/GOCHANGE-Elettrica-Polistirolo-Elettronico-Trasformatore/dp/B07JYB55G8/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?keywords=foam+cutter&qid=1568981858&smid=AP624EJMED5MJ&sprefix=foam+cutter&sr=8-4

Yeah, I used both glue and a cover of plastic sheet but my hinges were too hard and small, EPS too soft so After some uses It breaks.

So I thought a more radical solution. Bigger hinges (that are super soft and open only with Gravity) but this means my maze Will have 3cm (not the normal 2) High walls. Not tested yet but if 1cm EPS won't work, I'll use my 2cm XPS for a kind of fortress/labyrinth/maze.

On the sewer side other problems. My 3d paste was not transparent, so I ordered specific products....

I'm with Dentatus. Here are my thoughts.

Build a dedicated "hinge end" out of balsa, (marked W for wood) and then run your normal toothpick spikes perpendicular to the foam wall. That way you would have material hard enough to screw into with the current hinge, and a way to mount the normal foam. I would also probably build the hinged section slightly (like 1mm) shorter than the mounted side so it swings "freely" without dragging the ground.

The lower tech solution is to ditch the actual hinge and simply run a spike (unglued) into the end of the wall and allow that to be the hinge. You could probably run a sleeve in the foam, like a straw/tube, so the spike isn't rubbing on the softer foam but just turns in the sleeve. Once all that is glued in place you wouldn't have any problems hinging/removing the wall altogether if you desired to do so.

Thank you guys,
I didn't understood the balsa solution before... Stand the problem that EPS Is fragile and if you apply a moderate pressure breaks in 2 parts. And this Will probably happen since the small hinges are very hard. You should use a balsa wood Wall for all the sections that are subject to pressure (i.e. all the mobile Wall and a same lenght on the other side. - 5cm in my case).
Your second solution seems more feasible to me. I'll certainly try it, and if EPS holds I'll probably use it ;)
Very clever idea!!!

Could you also do the same with some simple square pegs sticking out the bottom? (less visually obvious).  Pick up the wall...slot it in 90-180 degrees from where it was, etc.  I know it's tough to "plant" stuff in soft foam.  I could also see simple magnets in the bottom of the wall sections, etc.

This could be a solution if I can't make the automatic plan :)
Using magnets ( but not too powerful) could instead be a useful idea to stop automatic Doors in the right position. I bought years ago a magnetic roll that I never used... Maybe the time has come lol

The outcome on the pieces is somewhat shiny. Maybe Army Painter's anti-shine or similar product would help? Or even a very soft drybrush over the finish to take off the worst gleam.

But all in all, very nice to see another hand-made dungeon in the world of ready molds and 3d-printing!

Army painter Matt varnish like all spray I think would melt Xps and EPS. Dry brushing over vynilic glue on the other side Is incompatible with my Little obsession for the invitable scratches that would happen by using the dungeon.... lol
I was worried by shiness at the beginning, but now I get used to It.
Ideal solution would be something like a vynilic glue becoming opaque when dried.
Title: Re: My new terrain project: modular DUNGEON
Post by: November on September 23, 2019, 01:48:16 PM
Spray will not melt foam that is fully covered by layers of paint and/or glue. This only happens if you spray uncovered (or even partially exposed) foam. So, just be sure to cover the entire surface and you can spray without worries. I've done it kazillion times.

Try it on a test piece if you are unsure.

If you look for Black Magic Craft’s video on YouTube, you’ll find that he uses a mix of Modpodge and acrylic paints as a base coat for all his foam construction… I’ve tried it and it work very well, it also gives a sort of "plastic rigidity" to the pieces...

Oh, you have been a busy bee! 3d prints look great and your first set of doors prove that they paint up well. Really awesome to watch these details come together. The dungeon is truly becoming an expansive place to explore. Starting to feel a little Eye of the Beholder in scale.

Thank you!
Here 3 new handmade spiked traps. My idea was to build 3 pit traps, but the spikes shoudn't get over the Edge of the floor, so I decided to make the other with spikes directly coming out from the floor.

I can't attach pics.... They are coming (I Hope)....

That is a good idea. I feel like there needs to be a skeleton impaled on one of those spikes. Or, at least some fresh blood?

Thank you guys!
This could be a good idea for the pit One...
The others stand for the Moment when walking in the dungeon, you are suddenly impaled, then the spikes go down... So a skeleton would be suspicious here.... lol

Were you  testing scale on the prints, or was there another reason the chairs/beds are in different sizes? Children's chairs in the dungeon? That is one hell of a "time out!" Little Roderick the younger didn't clean his room?! You march yourself right down into the dungeon and think about what you did... and hope the minotaur doesn't eat you.

Post by: D. Brownie on October 28, 2019, 01:12:24 PM
Yes, probably Will eat him lol
Actually all the files ( free from thingiverse) are in 28mm scale, so I (my wife under my supervision lol) have to downscale them, but not all attempts give the results I want....

I don't suppose it is as easy as simply dropping the dimensions by half  :?
Title: Re: My new terrain project: modular DUNGEON
Post by: D. Brownie on October 28, 2019, 07:27:32 PM
No... Half it's normally too small. I normally go with 70%. But with the 3d printing program (cura) you can have a preview and chiose the length of x y and z. The problem Is if, with an economic printer and downsizing,  the print comes out fine. But sometimes if you don't put the object near a minis, you can't have an exact idea of the scale Is good.

Here some newly painted things...
And speaking of scale we have a Ral Partha 28mm barbarian (that it's my Fire giant) near a 100% chair, and a 15mm Ral Partha wood Elf near a 70% chair.
Then 4 chairs around a table. So light that I'm thinking to fix them in this position on a transparent base....

Take a look at Bloodbeard's garage. He has a great tutorial on setting up furniture. http://bloodbeard.blogspot.com/2018/07/tutorial-upgraded-dollhouse-furniture.html (http://bloodbeard.blogspot.com/2018/07/tutorial-upgraded-dollhouse-furniture.html)

I think this will help you address your table question, without a base.

He has lots of great tutorials, even if this isn't the way you want to go. Definitely worth a look around!

I'll post some pictures afterwards when I'll come home.

Good girl... But I have to Say that as Tolkien lover She doesn't dislike to play some not too much complicated skirmish games.... Usually Frostgrave or RoSD. Yesterday we tried for the First Time an almost unknown skirmish game: Bladestorm. 6 vs 6 She destroied me, but I fled with my only surviving wizard with the target sword.... lol
Absolutely a great game!

Man that just looks so good.

Sorry to hear about the game with your wife. Last time I played with my wife she stomped my butt at the Fallout board game. Not because she engaged in any strategy other than letting me explore and fight and... die. lol

No right way, whatever works for you is what works!

So, tables and beds... Dwarves? Goblins with a taste for surface living? Secret underground night club? Inquiring minds want to know!

Hmmmm, that makes me think you need some straw piles for monster beds. Or maybe nests made out of bones and fur? That could be cool as well.

A greenskin nightclub with goblin lapdancers would be great....

Pile of Bones and rundown beds would be great if I'll find the files ;) Thanks!

Doesn't your wife design 3d rendered files yet? Sheesh. And here I thought she was a keeper! lol

Also, sculpt and cast. I'll bet you can bang out a master in 20-30 minutes and press mold replicas at 1 per day.
