Bought this in the mierce miniatures sale, still at £60 it’s alot of money, big as it is!
-
Filled and ready for paint
-
Bronze applied and dry brushed, then washed a few times with black to dull it back down
-
Verdigris added
-
Very nice but HUGE!!!!
-
Looking awesome! How did you paint the bronze?
-
Very, very nice, but an awful lot of money to spend for just a couple scenarios.

Only if you think that way, other people don't.
-
That's an impressive figure and nicely finished too.
-
I agree it is an awful lot of money, but I don’t game too often so it’s always going to be a display more than anything else, I have to say it’s a superb model to put together, mierce definitely make their resin kits s hell of a lot better than the forge world kits I’ve bought before, oh and thanks guys,
To paint it i basecoated black, then used foundry burnished copper A , a little drybrush with the B shade and then a little C added to it, then nuln oil washed 3 times making sure it didn’t pool darkened it down enough, then I used nihilakh oxide, thinned a little in small areas and sponged it off !
Hope that helps!
Cheers

It does, thank you very much!

Now THAT is a Titan!
Great finish on the bronze, mate.
:-*
-
Bloody wonderful Andy! I look forward to seeing it destroy everything in its path in our next game!
-
That is very nice indeed, a proper Talos. Does he have the plug at his heel? If not, how do you defeat him?
-
The guy with the sword is showing you where best to aim.
-
Looks fantastic. :o
-
And i just watched Jason and the argonauts :-* :-*
The price about right for a scale model figure of that size, it could be better but you were not fleeced ;D
-
;D ;D ;D
-
Oooooh!
Lovely..... :-*
-
Finished!
-
It look fantastic 8)
How tall is the finished model?
-
Brilliant work - a great paintjob on a great model! I think you’ve got your money’s worth there.
I made my Talos using a large scale tourist statuette of Achilles and giving it a repaint. It only cost 10 Euros, but if you add on the air fare to Greece, it probably wasn’t that much of a bargain 😀.
-
I was looking for a cheaper ornament like that on eBay but nothing was really what I wanted, thanks guys!
-
Oh the figure is around 140mm in height from foot to top of plume
