A recent game of Fistful of Lead, Tales of Horror. Two groups representing the forces of good take on an Undead Master and his minions.
Vampire Hunters Player briefing:
“Professor DeFenzles studied the telegram he had just been handed then turned and looked at the well dressed gentleman standing next to him. “Who is it from?” enquired Captain Archibald Fellows.
“It’s from my contact at Lloyd’s of London. The ship we have been tracking from Eastern Europe is scheduled to arrive at the Limehouse wharf at 3pm, sooner than we had imagined. We had better be quick for “The Dead travel fast”.
“What do you mean?” Responded Captain Fellows”
“The Devil and his concubines must be caught and destroyed before the sun sets or he will escape us again. Quick, there is no time to lose fetch your revolver and the silver cross I gave you. We have wild work to do!”
Police Limehouse devision briefing:
“Inspector Abeline was sitting at his desk staring at his notebook when the door opened and Sergeant Godley hurried in. “Sir, we have information to suggest another shipment of Stolen cargo is being moved and delivered upriver to the Limehouse docks. We have reason to believe it’s being received by that Northern gang “Bibbly’s Bashers” who are trying to muscle in on some of the London gangs.
”Best get going Sergeant, we’ll have to be quick to catch them. Bring your shotgun, I’ve heard they are usually armed and are not afraid to use shooters.”.....

The Dead do indeed travel fast as the Masters crate had already been taken safely from ship to shore. Would the Hunters and police arrive in time to stop the deadly cargo from disappearing into the fog ridden London night?...
To be continued...

Across town at the docks the Northern ruffians had already taken possession of the strange crate and took up defenisve positions as it was loaded upon a wagon ready for transportation to destination unknown..

Two of the ruffians move forward anticipating the arrival of the Professors men and begin firing. Panic ensues as gunfire is heard on the streets of the Capital. One of the Professors men goes down straight away, luckily there was a Dr in the group who immediately went to his aid.

The fighting gets vicious, the Policemen and ruffians enter into a massive brawl around a brewers wagon with both Inspector Abeline and the Ruffians leader Big Jim Bibbly entering the fray:

On the other side of the square it comes down to close quarters fighting as well. Expert swordsman Colonel Richard Fitzerwell dispatches gang members with ease, before being shot by jack Atlantic:

Only to be confronted by the sudden appearance of a huge swarm of rats which appear to be protecting the crate.

The rats immediately swarm towards them.

The last rays of the sun were beginning to fade.....
"Hurry Captain Fellows, we must hurry, the light is almost gone!"
To be continued..... ;)

Awesome. Repeat. Awesome.
-
It's getting exciting! Excellent photos.
-
That scummy blighter with the double barrelled shotgun blew away all three of my police brutes in two turns. But we got him in the end. Abeline did for him. The long and vengeful arm of The Law... >:D
-
Cracking looking game!
And a cliff hanger ending....
-
:-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* Enough said.
-
Great looking game and exciting narrative. Can’t wait for the next instalment! :)

Awesome bat rep :-*

Absolutely fantastic stuff, but I have a great desire to give the 'water' several
coats of varnish, & or wood stain.

Actually the more solid the better! Whilst some of the major sewer projects had already been completed for a number of years (assuming a late 19th century setting), it was still a big issue. Apparently the River Fleet was almost solid at various times in the 19th century.
-
Most entertaining, a veritable tour de force. We look forward to more from Messrs Malamute, Bibbly and Blood.

It had four... Look at the overhead shot...
-
Excellent AAR, very interesting. And the painting work is really good!
-
The title says part two???
-
Part One was the player briefings and initial set up :)
-
Oshiro. The overhead view does show more gloss. 4 coats!!!!! My apologies.
Elk101. When the Liffey (Dublin's river) was heavily polluted, it was really an open
sewer for the city, a wit was trapped by his creditors on the river bank.
Seeing no alternative he dived in & swam for the far bank. So shocking
was this considered that when he heard about it, one of his friends sought him out &
ask if it was true, 'Did you really swim in the Liffey?' He replied, 'No. I only went through
the motions' .
-
Superb. Simply superb. :-* :-*
-
My apologies.
No worries :)
-
Beautiful looking game :-*

"Hurry Captain Fellows! We must hurry the sun is setting!"
The Captain and the Professor made short work of the rats and charged onto the dockside fully expecting to meet further resistance. But the square was empty and quiet, eerily so, after the thunderous noise of the fighting during the preceding minutes it had suddenly fallen still and an ominous feeling overcame them.
Fellows looked around and could dimly make out the bodies of both policemen and ruffian types, but no enemies rushed to meet them.
"There is still time! look the crate it sits upon the cart, hurry Captain!"
Both men ran across the square, and clambered onto the cart, The professor began to work on the screws on the corners of the great crate. Captain Fellows drew his hunting knife and began to prize the lid at the opposite end. The wood began to splinter and crack as they worked it loose.
"Wait!" exclaimed the Professor, "The light has gone! we must be ready for him, he will be fast!" He tossed the screwdriver aside, and retrieved his crucifix which he raised above his head, he began to pray "Oh Mighty God, protect and deliver us from this Evil"
Captain Fellows gave the lid one final shove and it fell from the cart, crashing to the ground below. He raised his knife and turned to plunge it down into the crate but to his horror he realised it was empty....
The Professor had stopped praying and was staring into the crate, all he could see was rotten fetid earth which lined the bottom and the faint imprint where a body may have been laid.
"This cannot be, how could he escape us again?"he exclaimed, sinking to he knees, his mood changing from one of triumph to one of despair.
"I don't understand" shouted the Captain, how could he have left the box before sunset?"
"He didn't" replied the Professor who had regained his usual composure, "He was never in it, it must have been a decoy, the real crate carrying the Master Vampire must have been dropped off earlier at some other destination along the river, he has tricked us again!"
The End.
Or is it?
To be continued! :)

Ooooooooooh :o

The leech avoids the hunters today. But he will slip up soon, and its evil will come to an end.

Its an episode I'd rather forget ;) lol
-
I can't help but think these reports are slightly biased against the Northern Ruffians. ;)
Putting that aside it is absolutly brilliant, the scenery is excellent and the story telling is quite good in a softee southern sort of a way. ;)
I must have another look at the Limehouse thread, it is much longer than the last time i was here.
Looking forward to the next episode.

It is not bias, mate.
It is all based on honest dice rolls and the fact that said 'Northern Ruffian' has an unnerving ability to roll said dice like a cack-handed fool and almost always comes up with a '1'. Especially when it really matters!
;D ;D

Shut yer mush hole ;D

Curious to know how the Captain and the Professor made short work of the rats?
The post of Wednesday (as link below) would suggest there is a further instalment?
