Stuart,
Please make sure you report back with a list of what you can find!
Kind Regards

Are you after manuscripts or books on the period

That's really interesting. One of my ex partners is from Limoges (I'm sure you're very excited about that lol ). Limoges was sacked by the Black Prince in 1370. There is a some contention as to what extent.
However, I digress. The museum looks very interesting and seems to have a wide scope in choices of what to investigate.

There is also the Armee museum (Invalides) which covers 1000+ years of history. I guess they do have a book shop.

In Paris (kind of), there is the Digitized National Library (https://gallica.bnf.fr/accueil/en/content/accueil-en?mode=desktop). Not the same as having real books in hand or browsing in a old bookstore but a fantastic source. They have a "special" on Medieval documents right now ;)

Three very good bookshops just near musee de Cluny, Gilbert Joseph, Boulinier, Anne Lamort and Bonnefoi.
I will ask my wife where we purchased our last medieval manuscript at auction, but it is near the Cluny also.
Cheers

Chiming in a bit late but then again I don't browse the medieval forums too regularly. I'm no middle ages specialist but here's my tuppence worth as a Parisian anyway.
Located halfway between Notre-Dame and the Sorbonne (you can't get much more central than that), the Musée du Moyen-Âge is housed inside in the former Cluny Abbey and is well worth a visit as previous posters have pointed out. A stone's throw away, the Picard & Epona bookshop specialises in archeology and medieval history : haven't been there myself but I suspect it is mostly academic stuff for serious students of the period. They have an online shop you can browse, which will allow you to decide for yourself whether the place is worth a visit or not :

If you have a bit of time however (i.e a whole day to devote to it), I would strongly advise a jolly to Provins, which is only an hour or so from Paris by public transportation. The big attraction there is the medieval city, which regularly draws a big crowd of medieval reenactors several times a year. But even if there is no event on there during your stay, the city itself is well worth the visit and as fate would have it it boasts a specialist bookshop which caters exclusively to the tastes of bespoke travellers with a penchant for the medieval. The shop is called Le Roy Lire (yes, there's a pun in there) and it should normally have something of interest to you :

And here's the link to the city of Provins' website to whet your appetite :

I agree with that. this is a good place to find a book, old or new ones.
But, beware, most french history books are lake of illustrations. This is clearly a great differences between french and english publishings. Some illustrated French history books are only translations of British works. Most of them are even lake of map :o
What sort of renaissance book you are looking for?

Thanks for the suggestions!
Yep I’ve found some serious studies but not much on the illustration side.
I’ve been looking for anything Italian wars from the French perspective.
This was a good find;
