Title: Frostgrave Tribals for Darkest Africa figs?
Post by: Smokeyrone on October 02, 2019, 01:54:47 AM
Generic, Hollywood style natives, we are talking.  Figs that can be used kinda anywhere you need non specific/not necessarly historical units.

What say you?   Any experience with them?.

(They look sufficiently Hollywood to me)

Looks like the banner advertising is working!   (You might not have noticed, but your mind did) ;)

Sorry, have no hands-on experience of these guys, and I'm not the world's biggest fan of assembling plastics, but they look like nice figures. The only thing I'd say is they look and feel a teeny bit more New World than Darkest Africa to me. But that's a matter of personal taste, especially if you want them for a multitude of more generic roles rather than anything specific. I think they'd be a pretty good set to have around whenever you need some generic natives in a hurry, be it in a Fantasy, Sc-Fi, or vaguely historical setting.

Thanks!  I fell in love with "Blood and Plunder" at the con last week, bought some beautiful Firelock ships, and figured they would be better "caribe" style cannibal/Early New world natives than historical African figs.

Im pulling the trigger.  And yes, I did see the banner!  thats how I learned of it  :)

OK, they are awesome!  Not a fan of the huge stone spearheads, but i can cut them down, and you get 3-4 weapon options per figure anyhow.

Love the Polynesian style "Tiki" masks as an option.

These guys rock!
