Mark Copplestone is planning a small range of Post Apocalypse figures in 20mm.
They'll be designed to compliment Gaslands Refuelled. 'Course don't need figures in the game, but Mark'll be doing drivers and passengers to go with the armed pedestrians.
The first figure is here, Max!
-
Ooh, aah!
Might want to mention to him please that The Banana Splits are Post-Apoc now and Matchbox makes a 6x6 ATV that needs drivers!
-
so cool, those mins would be great!
his standard is high level ...
-
So... those are immediately going on the Want/Need list... 8)
-
Ohh sweeeet :-*, can't wait to buy the whole range :).
-
Nice.
I have not done 20mm since the 'eighties, but might make an exception for those.
-
Used to love dark future vehicles could be tempted .
-
Nice, I would be tempted to get some. I like Mark Copplestone’s sculpts. They would be useful for Warlands.
-
Oh dear had just decided to flog my old Dark future stuff. But to be honest hadn't played the game for years just Necromunda in 20mm

Good news for me! I was looking for some figures suitable for ambushes and skirmishes. Perfect! I look forward to these.
-
Love it.
More pedestrians, especially along this line, would be most welcome.
Look forward to seeing what else is in store.
-
love that, and that more are to follow. Was going to sell off my dark future bits , but now, hmmm, I can see some 20mm post apoc stuff coming on
-
Very interesting, especially when you think now 1/72 zombies are available, so 20mm heroes/survivors could be used for this kind of setting too.

This has long been my zombie gaming scale. The Twilight Creations' plastic Zombies!!! are 1/72 and conveniently sold in 100 count bags, their little dogs too. I've got hundreds of them. Most of my survivors are 20mm Dark Future figs, some 1/72 plastics, 15mm for teenagers.
And they're the perfect size to fit on the board from the Hannah Montana Mall Madness game.

-
This is fantastic.
Can't wait to see the whole line.
-
Awesome!!!!
Please give us more. There are many games including vehicles that could be played using suc an excellent range. Just, pleeeeeeeeaaaase, make them compatible to the old Dark Future range!
-
Excellent. Can't wait to use these for my cars.
-
Almost missed this. I agree it is very exciting news. Hoping we might get some more sneak peeks in the near future? :D
-
Picked my wee chap up form the post office on Saturday morning - he's a great mini. I've never really done 20mm, it's a nice scale - particularly in this slightly heroic variety. I'm printing some Heroforge bits and rescaling a little to add some other stuff now. Does this chap scale with Dark Future minis?
-
Excellent! Surprised more manufacturers aren't doing little ranges like this. There's ample demand, you don't need many options to cover what people would "need" for it, and it wouldn't require a lot of development or sculpting.
-
I thought I'd commented but I must have forgotten - he does scale with DF minis nicely. A touch taller but that's fine for a 'hero.
Here's the Copplestone guy, a nice landrover and a Heroforge mini scaled down:

Cool. I’ve placed an order last week and now am eagerly waiting. Hope, Max really does fit with my Dark Future collection!

Great looking figures. I hope he goes on to make some punks and such like - can never have too many of those sorts!
-
We've had the first faction from Mark, the Warboyz, inspired by Fury Road. Coming out early 2020.
-
I never showed off my Max figure. I painted the foot version, and put the driver into a V8 Interceptor. TBH, I had to saw the driver figure off at the stomach to get it to fit.
-
Awesome stuff all around.
-
Great painting, Nick! I think this model is a present to a whole generation of wargamers wanting to have a an angry Maximilian for their Dark Future /matchbox models!
I have received my mini and it fits perfectly!

As a confirmed 20mm freak, all I can say is "HUSSAR!" at an annoyingly loud volume.
-
I'm really excited for these - thinking I might try and rework Gorkamorka or somesuch.
-

These look awesome, but are there pedestrian rules anywhere? I'm a new Gaslands convert and don't recall any in the new book.
I know Dark Future had pedestrian rules in a White Dwarf that I used quite a bit, but need something for Gaslands so I can do...War Boys vs Maniax!
-
Yes, unofficial rules for foot combat in Wargames Illustrated 386, December 2019, out now.
-
You can get those rules right here:

TBH, I had to saw the driver figure off at the stomach to get it to fit.
I’m wondering what percentage of diecast vehicles out there in the market would require the same? (Closed cab/roof models in particular). Obviously convertibles or completely open vehicles are good, assuming there’s room to place fig.
Perhaps we could get some torso only figures? Seems a shame to cast, ship and pay for legs when not needed.
-
These are awesome. Would also love these in 28mm. :-*

The Warboys figures are now available to order.

Really nice! Why is not Mark Copplestone making more figures of his "Future Wars" range???? :-* :-* :-*

Excellent - ordered!
-
Really nice! Why is not Mark Copplestone making more figures of his "Future Wars" range?
That's 'cus Mr Copplestone makes what he wants these days, not what we want. lol
I'm just glad he gets motivated to make new stuff.
-
Great news, Nick!
Would it be possible to add these to my recent Zone Alfa preorder if I drop you a mail?
-
OMG. This is insanely tempting!
Dan

Hi DiviMal
Yes, no problem.
Nick
-
Hi DiviMal
Yes, no problem.
Nick
Great news! Already ordered and paid for.
Let’s hope, Mr. Copplestone does not lose the spirit to make more of these extraordinary miniatures!
-
OMG. This is insanely tempting!
Dan
Come to the dark side! I’m also mai ly a 15mm guy, but it’s Copplestone and allows you to modify umpteen thousand die cast car models, which sell for basically nothing!
-
Will these Wasteland Warriors make their way to a US distributer?
-
I expect Brigade Games USA will be stocking them.
-
Any pics of them next to the old Dark Future (or any other 20mm range) out there?

I can do a picture in a couple of hours, when I brought the baby into her bed. IMHO they are a perfect fit...at least the not-Mad Max I already have fits perfectly with DF.
-
As promised, here is a couple of rather poorly lit shots comparing GW‘s legendary (and insanely good!) Dark Future line, done by the Perrys iIrc, in comparison to the not-Mad Max of the amazing Mr. Copplestone.
A perfect match imho. I can’t wait for Mark to make more models and for Nick to release them!
-
And to make things even better...they do work with other producers, too.
Here is the Roadwarrior compared to an Elhiem model and a painted plastic army men soldier I still had from my childhood.
-
Last but not least, the Copplestone ex-cop in comparison to 1/72 plastics. Here the very useful not-Stalker set from iirc Dark Alliance.
The release of this series is the best thing since Mr. Copplestone started his 15mm Barbarians!
-
Thanks for these comparison photos. I agree, the venerable 30+ year old Dark Future line is still the gold standard at this scale. But I’m excited to collect these new sets from copplestone. I’ve long wanted to get some of his models and this scale and setting is my current jam. It’s awesome to see the two lines mesh perfectly.
-
Those ancient Dark Future from GW, if could find the complète range for a resonable price!
-
Brilliant photos - thanks for doing them.
-
Those ancient Dark Future from GW, if could find the complète range for a resonable price!
Not only you...
I have some spares, which I’ll sell soon here over the forum, since I’ll never manage to paint them all, now that we have a third family member.
My advice: look for „lots“ „Konvolute“ and so on as they usually are too expensive when sold as a single.
-
I’m looking for a few of the Dark Future hooded cultists. See the following post:
https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=121602.0
So let me know if you have some for sale.
-
Quick note - just received my wasteland warriors and the scale is absolutely perfect. They’re a touch shorter than the mad max hero chap, which puts them perfectly in line with the Dark Future range. Top work.
Plans for any more Nick?
-
Yes, Mr Copplestone is working on them now. I'm 'hoping' for:
Highway Patrol
Punks
Hill Billies
City Slickers.
Here's Kev's work on the Wasteland Warriors
-
Well that’s very exciting!
Those look fantastic. I really like 20mm as a scale.
-
And to make things even better...they do work with other producers, too.
Here is the Roadwarrior compared to an Elhiem model and a painted plastic army men soldier I still had from my childhood.
And that's what I came here for! Elhiem is my favourite model producer, and these look like they'll work perfectly :)
-
Nooo i won't be dragged into this! I shall resist!
Gorgeous sculpts from the master as usual.

These are exciting miniatures. I am hoping for a bit more of a Zona Alfa crossover than pure Mad Max. So a bit more like some of the Copplestone Future Wars figures in some respects; some gas masked figures, Neo Soviets (some in gas masks) and Partizans. And post apocalyptic monsters. It would be great to have dual use out of figures and scratch built buildings.
-
They were never going to be Zona Alfa, sorry. We asked him to make Gaslands figures, not Future Wars. I all honesty, we weren't expecting the Warboys. We asked for Dark Future Cops, Punks and City Slickers, the first set arrived was Warboys.
I never question, I'm just grateful.
Nick
-
Quite right Nick :)
Delicious crumbs from the master's table are gratefully received!

Brilliant, dear Nick! Both Kevin‘s painting on the boys as well as the idea to bring on more!
Any chances we might see more iconic heroes of the end times?

Never mind, I am sure it will all be useful. Maybe I can do some conversions.
-
More heroes? I just don't know, not planned but that doesn't mean no.
Mark's confirmed today the Highway Patrol is done, and the punks part done.
Actually I playing up the whimsical artist bit too much. He did make the Pict command due to requests. But he really doesn't want to make more Back of Beyond, or Glory of the Sun.

There is great potential in the soft plastic sets sold by other manufacturers ... just cut off a few heads and use Nick‘s new models as a base!

Well anything Mr Copplestone does, gets my full and utmost admiration! I just wondered if you want to develope the Gaslands setting with a couple of small gangs (which I think is just, what it needs! Not more, not less), there would really be a great opportunity for a hero sets.
Just imagining something like Homungous, Tina Turner, Immortan Joe as evil heroes, and maybe Tank Girl, Furiosa, Papageno for the goodies...heck this would even be the perfect opportunity for a not-Snake Plissken mini...you know I always wondered how he won that race!
-

Still grateful. They're on the paint table now! :-*

Have you seen Kev's painted Wasteland Warriors and Fury Road car:

Mr Copplestone is delivering the second set of figures tomorrow, not seen them myself yet, I'll post pics of the greens here.

Very cool! I really like the understated painting on the car (I still don't really know how to do that).

Highway Patrol.

Excellent.
And now the circle is closed! 8)
dark future inspired Future Warriors - Future Wars - Gaslands

Well certainly saves me getting mine cast up. :P
Insane how much stuff is available for post apoc 20mm now, there was nothing a few years back when I started coverting cars.
-
Bloody awesome, Nick!
I do hope those sell well enough for you to continue commissioning new ones. I love them!
-
Those do look nice. The ones I'm most interested in seeing, though, are the punks! :D
-
Wooooooooo!
-

Indeed. It is currently really taking off. I always thought the great range of. Heap diecast plus the easy availability and low price for plastic models in 1/72 scale would make it ideal for near future wargaming. And it seems, other people thought the same!
-
As a huge fan of the classic DF line...I approve of these Copplestone models and can't wait to add these similar cops to the collection with the Perry bros figs.
-
Mark Copplestones' new 20mm Highway Patrol figures are ready to order now.

aaaaaaaand ordered!
-
Oh damn....I need those! They’re perfect.
Absolutely brilliant sculpts. Remind me a lot (in a positive way) on Mr Copplestone‘s excellent Killzone Law Enforcers.
Please, Nick, promise him anything as long as he keeps making more models in this range.
-
oh wow :o
-
Roy Duffy has painted up the Wasteland Warriors.
-
They look great :)
-
That’s lovely painting - I’m about halfway through mine.
-
They are perfect, perfect in every way! ;)
I really like this range. I can't hardly wait for the punks :-*
-
Nooooooo!
I was not going to add another scale/range to my many and varied figure piles.
However, they are too good.
-
Roy Duffy has painted up the Wasteland Warriors.
nice paint job mate
-
20mm Rick Deckard? Very cool! :-* 8)
-
Any idea if Brigade Games is going to carry the 20mm cops and corporate team?
-
These are absolutely lovely and Mark is actually quite smart to go for 20mm with this (matches many toy cars better than 28mm figures, there's no existing 20mm Mad Max range, etc.), but I confess I hope we'll see some new 28mm minis from him - of any sort - at some point!
-
Brigade will have the figures, once they are back from Cold Wars.
28mm from Copplestone? Same here...
Here's the next set of 20mm figures available soon, the Corporate Team. Gets away from the Mad Max style which isn't really what Gaslands is about.
-
Nice.
They do look like an armed pit crew.
-

I thought these were North Star's idea made flesh (or metal) by Mr Copplestone for 20mm Gaslands games.
-
I thought these were North Star's idea made flesh (or metal) by Mr Copplestone for 20mm Gaslands games.
Could well be! Nick was also smart to go 20mm to be different from other existing ranges, but whether Mark C went along with Nick or did it on his own recognizance (he did previously do a 28mm Mad Max), they're the only ones doing it at that scale.
-
The Corporate team is awesome! When will they arrive, Nick? And: what else can we expect from this great range???
-
Couple of weeks yet.
There's still the Punks and the Hill Billies to come, plus maybe Zombies and a TV crew.
-
lol
He’s going to end up doing his entire Future Wars range in 20mm isn’t he? ;)
That’ll be the third time :)
-
Zombies would be a really welcome addition - nothing too outlandish, just 5 ordinary zombies that can be given a lot of variety with paintjobs alone. Man, I'm excited about that one.
-

Wonderful news! I can’t wait for them to arrive...
...and if he remakes the complete Future Warriors/Killzone range for a third time? Well, I guess I’ll buy them a 3rd time...and I would buy them a 4th time, if the great master did them in 15mm, too! lol lol lol

If you're looking for a quick way to play the scenario, the board game Zombies!!! actually has a very good scale. I just opened the box yesterday and thought "Wait a sec...are the 20mm?". They aren't on the same level sculptwise, but you can get whole bags of them for cheap.
-
Elhiem has being doing 20mm zombies for years too.
-
Are they good though, I can't tell from the pics

Yes, the Zombies!!! are 1/72-ish and work great with 20mm Elhiem and Dark Future minis, and other 1/72s. I have hundreds of them painted up; sadly the photos are lost on some image hosting service that dramatically changed its terms, grr.
In general Elhiem's figures are great, I have many of them in my survivors but I have not ordered any of their zombies since I am pretty wealthy in those plastic figures.
I also used 15mm Rebel Minis for teenage zombies and armed survivors.
n.b. the Hannah Montana Mall Madness game works great in this scale!

Wonder how Stan Johansen feels about this? They have had a 20mm Post Apoc/Mad Max mini line for years. Possible to say decades.

Twice in 28mm, and then 3red time if he does in 15mm?

The original series was produced by Grenadier in 28mm. After Grenadier went bankrupt, Mr Copplestone redid many of the sculpts in 28mm (1st), now it seems we get some sculpts done in 20mm (2nd). And I personally would even buy them again if he did them in 15mm, too!

HA thank you. I needed the specifics. I was off.
But with the above info, if he did in 15mm that would be 3 scales but 4 time sculpted right?
28x1, 28x1, 20x1 and then 15x1

Wait, does this mean the warboys are coming in 28mm or the corporate team in 15mm? lol

Intriguing.

I hope so much for the latter!

Here's another intriguing photo
-
Intriguing, indeed! And without a scale, you might as well advertise the new series in 75mm and 55mm!
Give us a hint! Please!
-
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?! :-*
-
Now I am not sure whether to get the 20mm ones or wait until the 28mm ones came out.
-
Don't wait.
It was an experiment. We thought Mark's 20mm's were so good they could do just as well as 28mm. Thanks to the amazing technology of 2020, we 3D scanned a 20mm master figure then did a 3D print that we put into silicon mould to make a metal 28mm version of the 20mm Gaslands figure.
Trouble is, getting the best of the best involved to get the best quality work cost nearly as much as Mr Copplestone sculpting from scratch lol lol
So don't hold your breath for the 28mm range folks, but I'm not saying never.
-
Ingenious lol
I’m no expert, but logic would suggest it might be better to get him to do them in 28mm for any future packs, and then scale them down. Notionally, this would result in the sculpt getting sharper as it becomes more, um, concentrated? Whereas scaling up from 20mm to 28mm might result in some softness of detail?
Or am I talking bollocks? lol
-
@Capitan Blood: you are not, it is just that this range was intended as a 20mm range. The 28mm model was an experiment.
-
Like he said
-
You are absolutely right Capt Blood, and this figure was included in some scanning and printing we were already doing of plastic 3ups shrunk down to 28mm.
-
It’s really interesting this works for 28mm to 20mm - it wouldn’t for 15, as I’ve found when looking for things to print. 15mm minis (if they’re going to fit on with other ranges) need to have giant heads.
-
It depends on the masters, the PSC Soviets look pretty poor in 28mm, which might explain why the range did not develop.
http://ultravanillasmurf.blogspot.com/2018/02/psc-soviet-infantry-heavy-weapons.html (http://ultravanillasmurf.blogspot.com/2018/02/psc-soviet-infantry-heavy-weapons.html)
They look fine in 15mm
-

I can second that. I’ve used quite a lot of bits made for 20/25 and even 28mm to kustomize 15-18mm models and they look fine. I guess we do expect the details to be exaggerated, just like earlier 28mm models.
-
No plans for 28mm....that's okay in my opinion - I would actually like to see more 20mm on foot minis. Maybe with an expansion for a very small skirmish variant set in the same universe with only a couple of minis. This way the small missions could be played using the same terrain, allowing to use a car or a bike within it, combining it with Gaslands if you wish to do so. In any case something where it would be enough to expand the game with a blister of the Wasteland Warriors or the Highway Patrol. 25mm bases? Could work...
"Gaslands Beyond"? "Mars is a lie"?...you get the idea.
-
I'll just leave ..this..here...
Oh look Nick, they have a giant. Seems unfair.
Indeed...but we should wait until the 20mm line is finished before we start to beg for yet another reincarnation! lol
That doesn't seem natural as a wargamer.
You sure you said that right? ;-)
Now I am not sure whether to get the 20mm ones or wait until the 28mm ones came out.
Where is the little girl and the tacos when you need her.
Let your inner gamer out and get both. :-)

I love 20mm and these minis are fantastic. We could use a few more females at this scale though. It looks like Mark is doing sets of five, so maybe a 'Wasteland Personality' set with: Furiosa, Aunty Entity, Immorten Joe, The Humongous, and Wez?
-

I totally second that! But also give us a 20mm Snake Plissken, please!
-
Stan Johansen has a 'not' Snake Plissken in his Road Warrior 20mm range, but I agree, with EfNY being my all time favorite movie, a Plissken done up by Mark would be fantastic.
Another great set of five models that could get us more 20mm females would be the Five Wives. Of course, give them a few handguns or rifles.

Great idea. The wives would also make nice models in a war rig scenario. I hope, Nick is reading this thread. I don’t think we two would be the only people buying such sets!

Snake Plissken....I heard he was dead!
Where is the model from?
-
I'm also interested in that Snake model. Great job!
I also like how the car is no-nonsense. Just jet black.
-
Really, where is it from? I need this!!! Call me Snake...fan.

I’m not sure if it is the same model, but Studio Miniatures do a good 28mm Snake...

Is there a sneak peek of the next set yet? Is it the punks, hillbillies, zombies or something new?
I hope these are selling well enough so the line keeps going for a while. All of the current releases have been fantastic.
-
Old GW ‘Dark Future’ miniature.
-
The range is going really well, bit of a success. (yeah!!)
Mark is doing the 'Punks' next, followed by Rednecks/ HillBillies. I did ask for a Zombie pack, he didn't mention them, must remind him...

Edit: hmmm...my post was eaten
I was just congratulating on the success and suggesting that now it would be time for some „heroic“ types, like Snake Plissken, Tank Girl, Furiosa and maybe a cybernetic Robot-Cop!

Finger on the "order button" ready... lol
just curious...any plan to do those minis on 28mm too ?
-
No, none at all. Sorry.
-
Hi Nick - are there still going to be a pack of “suits”?

Definitely like to see some heroes inspired by these...

I’d like to see a 20mm version of this road warrior to battle the wasteland warriors:

Already own that version. Looking for the Fury Road variant.
Someone else makes one in 20mm, but Copplestone’s sculpting is much better
-
Can we expect any other units in this fantastic line?
-
Yes, Punks and Hill Billies.
Not sure when unfortunately.

Cool, I have all the figures on foot based and undercoated - painted not so much.

Looks like the new figs might come out this year. yes!

That's a really exciting post all round - some cool stuff coming this year.
-
Each of these Copplestone 20mm Gaslands figure sets have five models, and there appear to be five of these sets: Warboys, cop, corporation, punks, and hillbillys.
I'm loving all these sets and have a complete collection to be painted in the very near future. However, I wish there were a few females as well. There are so few decent female sculpts at 20mm, the only ones I have are a small handful from the old Dark Future line....and that's only two or three.
Anyway, I think it would be sweet if Copplestone made a sixth set of 20mm Gaslands minis and the set is five females, one for each of the existing sets.

Maybe a furious woman and some liberated brides?
-
Agree - Copplestone has a pretty good record actually (see the Future Wars range). Elheim has a good selection in the interim for 20mm
-
Maybe a furious woman and some liberated brides?
+1
But a punky tank driver might also be cool.
-
These would be cool in a way the Mad Max figure is, but I think I'd prefer to have some females for the existing lines rather than some all dude gangs and all women gangs. Mix em up.

Why not both, my precious? *gollum*

Here's the latest Mark Copplestone designed Gaslands Refuelled figures, out later this month. The Bootleggers.
-
More scum for the 20mm mega city one - wonderful.
-
Right on!!
I assume these are the “HillBillys”, but these look fantastic. Even better than I would have thought as my games are set in the Southwest and these are perfect.
I’m about to start in on all my 20mm figs, so have been anticipating these since the corporate set.
-
Very cool crew. Tempted to make a Pulp Alley league out of them...
-
I bet these would work well in an orange Dodge Charger...
-
Very excellent!
-
They are the hillbillies. We decided to make them less 'Beverley Hillbilly' and more modern rural American.
-

Good call. I was thinking this set would be more Appalachia Hillbilly too, but I like this direction.
Not to sound ungrateful for the minis, but any chance of a few females? There are so few quality figs at this scale...this line is the best hope.
-

you have a 20mm Mega City One project? sounds amazing! links?

Great idea! But what do you use for a 20mm Judge Dredd?
As to the Hillbillies: brill!

Drokk! Now I remember. Great work there.

Nice, must finish the existing ones first...

Anyone having any luck placing the driver and passenger models actually inside Hot Wheel scale vehicles? I love these models, but I can’t ever get it to work out right.
What’s the secret?
-
If you don't mind spending a touch more they fit well (with some clipping) into Greenlight vehicles, which are true 1/64 - loads of hotwheels are a touch seats are a touch slender (the classic scale vs size thing)

So are Hot Wheels 1/72 then? 20mm models = 1/64?

Sadly, Hot Wheels have no consistent scale. The cars are made to fit the Blister. Some work very well with 1/72, others with 15mm or 1/100.
The Northstar models do fit into the slightly larger Dark Future cars originally made by GW (and now sold for a fortune at eBay).
-
Are these the greenlight cars the minis fit? They look to be 1:64. I wonder if they’re sold locally.

Sadly they do go for a mint. A few sprues of car parts to assemble at the right scale would be great, but I bet Hot Wheels being ‘close enough’ to this scale would prevent any decent profit?

Yeah that’s it. Green light are always 1/64 unlike hotwheels as divismal says. Coolest one gigs are 1/72 height but 1/64 bulk so fit grenlight (and bigger scale hotwheels) really well.
-

Yes, I know, and if you collect more than one scale, you can still use the smaller ones for 10-18mm wargaming. So that’s good enough for me.
There are several sellers of spare parts, I have used the following:
- sometimes you find old GW Dark Future stuff on ebay
- Northstar has a sprue
- Ramshackle sells several sets, which work pretty good (some are, however, on the small side)
-
I’m sorry, I meant ‘car parts’ as in, can build a complete car from them. The classic Dark Future cars came on plastic sprues way back in the day. An Oathmark unit sized box that contained like 12-16 cars with 4-6 car types in plastic would be awesome. Far more expensive than a few Hot Wheels though.

Yes, that would be true. On the other hand the possibility to use matchbox/siku/hotwheels models available in every super market/toy shop for really small money is what tempts a lot of players who are not wargaiming nerds (like us). So I guess, it just wouldn’t sell well.
-
Has anyone here actually used greenlight vehicles? How easy are they to take apart to put figs in?
-

I've used one - same as hotwheels, drill the bolts then disassemble/assemble.
-
I've used this Greenlight Last of the V8 Interceptors. It came apart just as easily as other cars.
I had to chop Max at his belly, and only use one arm to fit him in, but no one's noticed.
-
Good news. Thanks @nicknorthstar and @jagannath
Looks like I need to hunt about now for which greenlight cars to order. They do seem to go for 5-10x the cost of a normal hot wheel, but if I can better use all these great Perry and Copplestone figures...I'm in.
-
Somewhere on the internet I saw a post about true 1/64 ranges (as opposed to box scale). There’s a hotwheels range that has more consistent scale that should work too.
-
Greenlight are expensive. I couldn't resist the V8, but in general for Gaslands etc I prefer a cheap Hotwheels.

Quite a few like these

-
yeah, those are great!
I just found two vehicles for my Highway patrol. I think they'll go well with the look of the Copplestone/Perry patrol officers.
Though these two are super old school and would match really well to the miniatures. I'm not sure they have the rugged, off road look I'm going for though. If my games were set more in an urban environment, then yes.

The Bootleggers are up for order on the Northstar site.
-
Just received my Greenlight highway patrol vehicles. Hot wheels would work, but I’m liking the authenticity here.
Perry Dark Future model on the left, Copplestone Gaslands on the right.
-
They look great.
I agree, Greenlight might be expensive in comparison to toy shop cars, but actually if you want to do a specific project (like my Mad Max or your Highway Patrol) Hotwheels etc aren't good enough
-
When i played dark future, i was quite keen on the johny lightning cars.
-
I agree, the scale looks pretty much spot on. Now I just need to find a good source for them here in Germany.
-
Yeah those look great!
-
I also like that the two vehicles are in scale to one another. Both are true 1:62. If the truck on the right were a Hot Wheel, it would be a little smaller to fit the blister. Here it's larger than the car. As it should be.
Also, the details on these are great. The cab on the back of the truck comes off, and the backs of these vehicles have bumper stickers and license plate numbers. Nice touches. I'm looking forward to buying sets of Greenlight cars for my other Copplestone figures. In fact, I'm about to set up a log about this in just a few minutes...
EDIT: it's up - http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=129236.0
-
Finally able to start working with these great figs.
Proof of concepts at the moment. Nothing is glued together nor are the vehicles completed. A pic of the two vehicles and the whole cop gang, a mix of NorthStar Gaslands, Citadel Dark Future and an Elheim dog.
-
Finally finished painting the cars with drivers. More about the process over in my log for this project.

The police vehicles turned out great!

Thanks!
I finished the Copplestone figures on foot. More details over in the log.

Very nice!
-
Excellent.
-
Is there an ETA on the Copplestone ‘punk’ gang? They’re the last set I need and looking forward to ‘em.
-
I hope he makes some Female figures
-
Punks. They are on Mark's workbench, have been for a while, I prompted him to finish them recently.
Female drivers. We're not doing anymore gangs/ factions/ teams after the Punks.
Zombies. Yeah! You've got to run them over in Gaslands so Mark's put them into the schedule.
-
Too bad about the female drivers it would have been useful
-
There will be some girl punks btw
-
Well that's good news
-

Looking forward to this punk team.

Stoked for this punk release. Working on the “corporate” team atm. Once they’re done I’ll have loaded all the Copplestone gangs into vehicles.
Just need the punks.
-
Too bad about the female drivers it would have been useful
Have to go 3d route then.

Wow! Great work on those punks, Jack (even if they are still wip).
-
I have the exact same car on the workbench! Just cries out to be converted!

Always a treat 👍🏼

Can you (or someone else) recommend a seller? That might be a good way to enlarge my solid collection of drivers ;)

Go start your own flippin thread, printer boy.

Sorry Nick, that wasn‘t meant to be rude or ot.
I neither have a printer nor want to buy one.
-
No, the apology is mine. I was in a silly mood earlier on lol
Feeling much more sensible now.
-

Indeed...I've converted it twice.
I finished this gang of scientists and with that all of my Copplestone minis have been placed in rides.

They can all be viewed over in my Roswell '98 log, but below is the complete fleet...waiting for the punks.

We've just taken delivery of a new set of figures, the Punks.
I'll have pictures next week.

Exciting - They'll be great for mini-munda.
-
Looking good - building up a nice collection. These Coppelstone Castings are great.
For other miniatures suitable for 1/72 / 20mm Gaslands / Post Apocalyptic settings one might also consider the Dark Alliance Miniatures, they have a number of sets - even modern styled Zombies - see:

Nice!! :-*

Back in the day I picked up 2 copies of Dark Future, White Line Fever, a box of Battle Cars, multiples of all the miniatures save two or three and all the White Dwarfs with related articles. Still have it all. Seeing these new miniatures really is making me want to dig it all out.

The best yet. I hope we can still look forward to some more gangs because these are so good...
-
Those are absolutely amazing!! :o
-
Yep! these models are awesome. I've been waiting a while for 'em and my Citadel and Elhiem 20mm punks are ready to welcome them!
-
My punks arrived yesterday - beautiful minis, really showing off how nice 20mm is as a scale! (I really hope you carry on with them, just lovely minis)
