I have started the table prep for the Carnage in the Jungle table I am planning for Salute 2020. Firs thing I wanted was some height, but I wanted trees that could be neutral to jungles and woods. So, this is my attempt after doing a bit of research around the internet.
Starting with this:

Before this, where I am with the trees so far, I like doing all of the finishing touches to them once I have all of them done:

Nice to see someone acknowledge the superiority of plywood! It has been my go to for a number of years now - and also underlayment which is just a thinner sort of plywood. Like the way you did the tops of your trees. And delighted you didn't go the route of the giant 'buzz saw truncated' trees that others have done. While I understand their reasoning, the visual impact for me just flat out doesn't work. Yours, however, work grand.

Thanks folks, I really need to get better at sharing stuff that I do. I'm going to speak to a friend to see if they can do some canopies like this that they could produce for shapeways. I really like them but sadly they are OOP.
