Hello all
I´m searching for some lamellar armoured figures in 28mm for a small project involving Lombard warriors, franks, goths and late romans.
Basically i need some figures in lamelar armour. Head gear is not important.
The types i´m searching are similar to the pictures.
Thanks for watchiing
Cheers

Gripping Beast Jomsvikings would work I think.

Hi Rui,
If you're looking for these mini's I'll have some Wargames Foundry from their Franks/Saxons range up for sale in the Baazar come Monday or Tuesday.
There are a few with lamelar armours in there.

Aventine !?

Footsore's Late Roman/Romano-British/Early Byzantine range is the one that I would be looking at. Especially the "Arthurian" mini's:

Gripping Beast plastic Arab Heavy Cavalry have a number of torsos in some variation of lamellar armour.
As it looks like you get 6 torsos but only 3 riders per sprue, somebody should have some extras laying around.

also check V&V they have a very good byzantine range with some lamelar and scale armours

Apart from the shields which seem to be embossed on most of their resin ranges :(
I suppose they are easlily replaced.

For both lamellar armours and lombard helms look at Hun Heavy Cavalry from Footsore miniatures.
https://footsoreminiatures.co.uk/collections/huns/products/hun-heavy-cavalry-2 (best choice)
https://footsoreminiatures.co.uk/collections/huns/products/hun-heavy-cavalry-1 (good but not best choice)

Hello all
Thank you for your help. :)
I´ve been checking the manufacturers/ranges you gave but so far i´m inclined either by the mounted saracens from Gripping Beast or the huns but i need them on foot so probably conversions are the best way.
Unfortunately at Footsore i could only find 3 figures with lamellar armour (1 saxon and 2 arthurians). I have the saxon witch i will convert and i will keep searching other suitable minis.
The Gripping Beast jomsvikings have 2 or 3 suitable
Cheers all

Some byzantine figures of Ukrainian Company V&V Miniatures may fit with certain customisations:

You can also consider Crusader Miniatures Byzantines:

Crusader Mini's sculpts are always very crisp so you can expect these do be the business.

Did you notice the GB Princes Rus?

The city militia set has a couple with lamellar armour, the same kind as your top pics.

Thank you all for the tips. :)

I had a memory of some Gripping Beast miniatures in armor that was a very close match for the reference images you posted. Went looking on the site and couldn't find them at first, but sure enough they do still sell them:

For some reason the image for the second pack won't work, but here's the hyperlink:

Link: ESX22 Early Saxon Heroes (4) (https://www.grippingbeast.co.uk/ESX22_Early_Saxon_Heroes_4--product--3050.html)
You'll end up with a bunch of spare figures, but they do appear to be just what you're looking for. Hope that helps!

Apart from the Woodbine 'Eastern WWI range I think the Early Saxon range was one of Soapy's finest.

I just noticed these in Artizan Designs Carolingian range (https://www.artizandesigns.com/prod.php?prod=1072)(unfortunately just the one blister):

Those Carolingians may do the work for some more.
Thank you for the tip Codsticker. :)
