For my Mythos Wars project, a few Elder Things were of course essential. Failing to find miniatures I was pleased with, I rashly decided to sculpt them myself. Starting with a description from "At the mountains of Madness":
Six feet end to end, three and five-tenths feet central diameter, tapering to one foot at each end. Like a barrel with five bulging ridges in place of staves. Lateral breakages, as of thinnish stalks, are at equator in middle of these ridges. Those are quite lovely

What? You didn’t like mine? Elder Thing army with land Shoggoth Terrorbeasts.

Wow. Those are excellent! These are for sale somewhere? I never saw these before.

Hey Pijlie,
Yeah there are some for sale at gobbotown.com. Very reasonably priced in my opinion. There are smaller technicians and larger warriors. Both come in units, technicians (4) and the warriors (2). Right now the land shoggoths are being offered of which there are several varieties as well. If you have any questions let me know.

Nice work Pijlie. It's always nice to see the work of someone who cares so much about getting the end result right that they abandon commercial sculpts and do it themself their own sculpts. Especially nice as your end result is spot on :)
