Sorry if it has been mentioned elsewhere, but how much of the tactica is German, language-wise? Been wanting to do traveling of some sort next year, and it would be cool to go to a miniatures thing elsewhere if anything. The language barrier would put me off a bit though. Read and have a general understanding of what I see, yes, but having to listen and comprehend, no.

Hi,
if youre attending a game it will be no problem to speak english. Most germans can speak english and usually run the game in english if a non german joins the game.
The language barrier is no problem and you should come and visit the show.
At the last shows there were visitors from france, belgium, finland and england.
Cheers
Björn

Hahah. Admittedly, I sorta forgot about this. Well I'll have to look into stuff and see.

I'd need to get an actual mainstream job to pay for the trip.

At the moment there is something going on in Germany...little boys are painting things, drilling holes and carving wood. No, it is not for Christmas, there are preparing for the TACTICA. So, let’s take a look through the keyhole  ;) :

Hmm... Hamburg is a very nice city, wonder if I should go there again, and perhaps skip Salute next year too? Shorter flight and everything...

Has Thomarillion been around usually, they have a bunch of things I'd like to buy?

From what I gather Tactica is a much better experience if you want quality AND you want to participate.

Regarding language, from horizont in Denmark where we had danes, germans and the odd englishman ;) language wasn't a problem at all. Conversation automaticly switched so whoever had just joined could participate.
I'm really looking forwards to tactica and by the sounds of things from the danish boards there'll be a little flock of danes travelling to Hamburg.

My favourite are Lake Peipus (the most impressive) and the WWI Board (my favourite period)… I can’t see the last picture though :?

You`ll have to Nick.
But you will be able to see the Samurais at the Glam, also some other stuff from the Tactica. The guy with the Peipus is unfortunately not at Glam. He was invited but could not make it...

A shame. Apart from an occasional LotR game I have not played many large wargames.

We'll remedy that at BLAM then later this year :)

I like these photos alot. I'll have to get my Russian fortress out of the cupboard and finish it off  :)

Very inspirational, thanks for posting  :D

Damn, those are spectacular tables shaping up!

The Russian timber fortres and WW1 trenchboard are the best of the lot, but they're all amazing.

The "Pulp City" image appears to be a broken link, though - nothing shows, and clicking on it doesn't show me anything either.
