We are very pleased to release a complete set of infantry codes for the Italian and Spanish armies in our 15mm later 14th Century range, which can be used for either army (except the slingers — dont think the Italians had any of those!). Available now (about three quarters of the way down the page):

They are more likely than English or French foot to wear a barbuta helmet, and to have a plain chainmail shirt or, even more likely, brigandine armour.
Italian or Spanish armoured pavisiers

Thanks for that. I find the areas outside the main zone of combat in the HYW to be the most interesting — like the period of the great mercenary free companies in Italy and the contest for the castillian throne. Both involved french and English soldiers (and Germans and Hungarians in Italy) but lots of native troops too, who dressed and equipped themselves differently, so I like my armies to correctly portray that.
For instance the Italian elmeti were more likely to wear their armour “white,” and to have chainmail protection on their arms rather than full plate. And of course there’s that glorious neo-classical barding! As shown here:

Also quite like the pavisiers — they protect the crossbowmen which makes them very effective in many game systems.

You'll probably need staff slingers for Spanish armies
